DraftKings MLB Lineup Advice: Monday (8/5) PREMIUM
Monday night features a larger than usual 12-game MLB slate. It is a solid DFS slate with a variety of ways you can go when constructing your lineup. There are a few high-priced pitching options and a variety of mid-range hurlers to consider pairing with one of them. On the hitting side, there is plenty of mid-range value to build a balanced lineup or spend up at a spot or two while dipping down into the cheap value that one team provides (hint: they might be Giants).
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. For reference throughout the season, be sure to bookmark our overview of MLB Park Factors and how to Use Weather to Your Advantage in MLB DFS.
Charlie Morton (TB): $10,700 vs. TOR
I gave strong consideration to Lucas Giolito in this spot for just $300 more in his matchup with the Tigers. While I’m okay with Giolito if you prefer, Morton projects as the top pitcher on the slate in my model. He has pitched very well at home this season allowing a mere .249 wOBA while producing an impressive 35.5% strikeout rate. Good ol’ Uncle Charlie will face the young guns from Toronto who ranks in the middle of the pack in most offensive categories against righties over the last 30 days. I’ll side with experience over young exuberance in this matchup.
