DraftKings MLB Lineup Advice: Wednesday (8/14) PREMIUM
Wednesday around the majors brings us a split slate with nine games on the early slate and a six-game main slate at night. This DraftKings lineup advice column will focus on the six-game evening slate. It is an odd slate where it seems difficult to get salaries to line up when trying to build an optimal roster. You can try to go with two higher-priced pitching options, but finding enough value options on the hitting side that you can be comfortable with is a challenge. So, I find myself dipping down into the value options to fill my second pitching slot.
As always, be sure to pay close attention to the lineups when they are released and monitor the weather leading up to game time. For reference throughout the season, be sure to bookmark our overview of MLB Park Factors and how to Use Weather to Your Advantage in MLB DFS.
Clayton Kershaw (LAD): $11,800 @ MIA
Kershaw got pushed back a day, but he still gets the same great matchup pitching against the Marlins as a huge Vegas favorite on the road Wednesday night. The Marlins have hit lefties a little bit better over the last 30 days then they have for the season but not enough to scare me off of Kershaw on this slate. Kershaw has allowed two or fewer runs in six straight starts while striking out at least nine hitters in four of those outings. In 112 career plate appearances by the Marlins current collection of hitters, Kershaw has allowed a minuscule .162 wOBA with a 25.0% strikeout rate. Push the lock button on Kershaw in your cash game lineups.
