FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Friday (8/16) PREMIUM
Welcome to the “FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice” primer for Friday, August 16. Take note that these recommendations were organized earlier in the day, and circumstances could change once the lineup cards are released. However, the following players represent your best targets to consider, and any notable contingencies will be outlined in their write-ups. We will be looking at the 15-game main slate starting at 7:05 ET.
Charlie Morton (TB): $11,300 vs. Detroit
Morton is an easy call for cash games tonight. He has looked good lately, Reaching 40 or more FanDuel points in six of his most recent eight starts. Sure, there were a few hiccups against the Red Sox and Yankees mixed in there, but Morton won’t have to worry about that level of competition this evening. The Tampa righty will have the privilege of facing Detroit, who is tied for last in wRC+ (77) with the second-highest strikeout rate (25.9%). Morton is expensive, but he should be worth every penny in this comfortable draw.
