FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Tuesday (8/13) PREMIUM
After a meager eight-game slate on Monday, we’re back at it today with a full schedule. Everyone appears to be changing gears and focusing on football. That means there’s going to be more amateurs than ever in these contests over the coming weeks, so it’s time to feast!
Editor’s Note: The Astros and White Sox are playing a doubleheader after Monday’s game was postponed. While both games are left off the main slate, starting at 7:05 p.m. ET, the first contest at 4:40 p.m. ET is available in the all-day slate.
Gerrit Cole (HOU): $12,400 at CWS
Is there any better pitcher in fantasy right now than Cole? This dude is simply ridiculous, and it’s hard to argue with a guy who’s leading the league in strikeouts and K rate. In fact, Cole’s 36.8 percent K rate is one of the best marks of all time, and it’s backed up by a 2.81 xFIP, 2.87 ERA, and 0.98 WHIP. Those absurd statistics make him very attractive against a bad White Sox lineup, with Chicago ranked 26th in K rate, 28th in runs scored, 25th in OBP, 26th in OPS, and 26th in xwOBA. That’s why Cole and the Astros enter this matchup as a -330 favorite.
Note: Cole is now scheduled to pitch the second game of Tuesday’s doubleheader, making him unavailable on FanDuel. Zack Greinke ($10,800) will start the first game for Houston.
