Bobby Sylvester’s 2019 Week 4 Rankings (Start or Sit Answers)

Bobby Sylvester’s 2019 Week 4 Rankings (Start or Sit Answers)

We are now just hours away from Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz squaring off on Thursday Night Football. If you’ve got start/sit questions, I’m here to answer them all with my rankings. I’ll post this article every Thursday afternoon to help you make your most challenging decisions each week. If you aren’t reading it until Saturday or Sunday, don’t worry, I’ll continue to update it every few hours for you all. As always, if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to reach out on Twitter @bobbyfantasypro. Before we dive into the rankings, let me tell you about four start/sit options that I am especially opinionated about this week.

Case Keenum (WAS): QB #15 vs ECR #22
Let’s me make this clear: I don’t love Keenum as a start this week. I’d much rather pick up Matthew Stafford or Daniel Jones if you need a QB, but neither is available in most leagues so if you need a fill-in for Josh Allen (vs NE), Jameis Winston (@ LAR), Baker Mayfield (@ BAL) or Tom Brady (@ BUF), Keenum is likely your best option since he draws one of the easiest matchups on the week when they travel to New York to take on the Giants. It may feel nasty, but don’t hesitate to stream him over any of those four.

Justin Jackson (LAC): RB #17 vs ECR #31 @ MIA
Speaking of streamers, Jackson is the ultimate one as he will suddenly become useless when Melvin Gordon returns next week. Before then, however, he should see a dozen touches or perhaps even more in a perfect matchup and game script in Miami. We saw Tony Pollard go off in this role last week and Gus Edwards in Week 1, so it only makes sense that the single most efficient running back in the NFL should accomplish the same in another probable blowout.

Calvin Ridley (ATL): WR #18 vs ECR #25 vs TEN
I’m fairly close to the consensus on most receivers this week, but you’ll see that I’m much more confident about playing Ridley this week than most are. Ridley has been exceptional thus far in his career in two scenarios: In a dome and in man to man coverage. This week he draws both which should make him an auto-start even ahead of players like Larry Fitzgerald, Marquise Brown and Robert Woods.

T.J. Hockenson (DET): TE #6 vs ECR #11 vs KC
Hockenson has just 1 catch in each of the past two weeks but that happened in two tough matchups against the Chargers and the best defense against tight ends over the last few years, the Eagles. Hockenson immediately jumps to what was the best matchup last year when they take on the Chiefs. In fact, outside of the Cardinals (who Hockenson lit up in Week 1), Kansas City is again at the top of the leaderboard in fantasy points allowed to tight ends. Don’t be nervous about starting him in this useful game script.
