DraftKings Projected Ownership: Week 3 (2019) PREMIUM
Welcome to this week’s installment of DraftKings projected ownership. I’ll recap who our projected ownership tool projects will be highly-owned, and I’ll give you some of my takes about who you should take. Last week, I took some losses by recommending Adrian Peterson and Mark Ingram. That said, I was correct about Davante Adams, Terry McLaurin, and Darren Waller being strong options. I’m confident I’ll do better this week now that we have a larger sample size. Let’s get started!
|Josh Allen||vs. CIN||$5,900||16.6%|
|Patrick Mahomes||vs. BAL||$7,600||16.5%|
|Lamar Jackson||at KC||$7,000||12.6%|
|Matt Ryan||at IND||$5,700||12.1%|
|Dak Prescott||vs. MIA||$6,500||6.2%|
There’s not much consensus this week on who to own at quarterback. Before I get into my shpiel, you should give Paul Ghiglieri’s QB1 Primer a quick read-through. I think he’d agree with me that Dak Prescott’s ownership rate is far too low, especially given his relatively low price. Sure, the Dolphins might not be able to put up a fight, but that didn’t keep Tom Brady or Lamar Jackson from putting up contest-winning numbers. The most-owned options are instead Josh Allen, whose price tag is still too low for his fantasy value, and the unquestioned fantasy QB1, Patrick Mahomes. Allen has an easy matchup with a bad Bengals team. They’re coming off of a horrendous showing against Jimmy Garoppolo’s 49ers, and Allen should be able to put up similar numbers. Mahomes, meanwhile, has a date with the Ravens. The last time he played them, he put up 377 yards and three passing touchdowns, and that’s when they had defensive playmakers like Jimmy Smith, Tavon Young, and C.J. Mosley on the field. Lamar Jackson and Matt Ryan should also be popular picks, and Ryan’s value comes with considerable appeal. Indianapolis may have slowed down Philip Rivers last week, but the Falcons have a talented duo of receivers in Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones that should cause the Colts some problems.
