FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Monday (9/23) PREMIUM
It’s the final Monday of the season, so we’ve got one more chance to clean up on FanDuel while the player base is focused on football. We’re working with a small slate tonight, with just five games in FanDuel’s featured contests. It’s a pretty clustered slate in terms of scoring as well, with every game having an expected total between 8.0 and 9.5 runs. That means we’ve got plenty of viable strategies to work with despite fewer overall options.
Patrick Corbin (WSH): $10,500 vs. PHI
Corbin is the highest-priced pitcher on this slate by a significant margin, but he’s practically a must-play in cash games tonight. There simply aren’t any reliable, trustworthy pitchers in the mid- or low- tiers tonight. Corbin has epitomized reliability this season, and even though Philadelphia isn’t a soft matchup by any means, this opposing lineup shouldn’t scare owners off Corbin. He’s posted a 3.32 ERA and 11.37 K/9 in three starts against Philadelphia this season, and the Phillies have an elevated 24.2% strikeout over the last 30 days. Corbin is good enough to play in GPP even at this price, but he’s a lock for cash tonight.
Dylan Bundy (BAL): $8,000 @ TOR
In GPP play we typically want to go after a cheaper, high-upside starting pitcher, and Bundy fits that bill against Toronto. Bundy’s strikeout rate has been on the rise lately, as he’s averaging 9.72 K/9 in September. Bundy isn’t the only one who’s seen an uptick in whiffs over the last month, as Toronto has a bloated 26.9% strikeout rate over the last 30 days. Bundy gives us the best strikeout upside in the mid-tier and faces a relatively weak matchup. He’s my favorite pitcher for GPP games tonight.
