FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Wednesday (9/18) PREMIUM
While we do have games spread all throughout the day, we’re going to go ahead and focus in on the night slate. That’s where the big prize pools are and where the major bucks are made. We have a total of 10 games in this nightcap, with all 10 games starting between 7ET and 8ET.
Aaron Civale (CLE) $8,500 vs. DET
Whenever the Tigers are on the docket, I’m using a pitcher against them. It’s easy to understand why when looking at their statistics, with the Motor City Kitties ranked dead-last in runs scored, OBP, OPS, and xwOBA. They also sit 29th in strikeout rate, and it should be relatively simple for Civale to roll through this cupcake lineup. Not only does the rookie have a 1.93 ERA and 1.03 WHIP, he’s also pitching to a 1.35 ERA and 0.85 ERA in two starts against this dreadful offense. That’s why he and the Indians enter this matchup as a -300 favorite and why Civale should be closer to $10,000.
Jake Odorizzi (MIN) $9,300 vs. CWS
Odorizzi has been struggling recently, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that he’s had a breakout season. In fact, the Twins righty has a 3.60 ERA and 1.20 WHIP this year while striking out 162 batters across 147.2 innings of action. That’s really all you can ask for from someone in this price range, particularly when you consider the fact that he has a 2.76 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in three starts against the White Sox, striking out 23 batters across 16.1 innings. That’s no surprise with Chicago ranking 25th in strikeout rate, 23rd in xwOBA, 26th in runs scored, 24th in OBP, and 26th in OPS. Vegas loves Odorizzi too, making him a -290 favorite.
