It’s still October, but the football season always seems to end too soon. We’ve got eleven more weeks of regular-season action (and DFS matchups!) to go, so let’s get into who our projected ownership tool expects to be highly owned this week.

Quarterback
Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson put his off-and-on start to 2019 behind him last week against the Falcons. Watson had been taking too many sacks, but he didn’t take any last week, and it showed in his passing stats. Watson had an 84.85% completion percentage while putting up 426 yards and five touchdowns. If he can keep this up, he’s worth a start against the Chiefs. Kansas City is giving up a 16th-most 19 DraftKings points per game to opposing quarterbacks, and although they aren’t as bad as the Falcons, Watson should be a smart play this week. That said, he’s matching up with Patrick Mahomes, who should also be a good start. The Texans are giving up an eighth-most 23.3 DraftKings points per game to the position, so either quarterback should be a smart choice. While Mahomes has struggled in recent weeks, I’d look for him to get back on track against the Texans. Lamar Jackson is projected to have an ownership rate of 17.6%, and I think he could be a smart play because he’s got an easy matchup against the Bengals. Cincinnati surrenders a 10th-most 20.4 DraftKings points per game to quarterbacks, so look for him to rebound from his mediocre game last week. Russell Wilson is projected to be the fourth most-owned quarterback against the Browns, who are a mediocre defense against the position. The 18.1 DraftKings points per game they’re giving up to quarterbacks is a clip lower than most other teams, but it should still leave some room for Wilson to operate. That said, if Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams make their returns, I’d be careful about starting Wilson. Lastly, we’ve got Gardner Minshew, whose bargain-bin salary makes him a smart option. Even better, the Saints are giving up a fifth-most 24.5 DraftKings points per game to quarterbacks. The Jaguar is your discount play this week.
