DraftKings NFL Cash Lineup Advice: Week 13 (2019)

DraftKings NFL Cash Lineup Advice: Week 13 (2019)

Hopefully, everyone has had enough time to recover from a good Thanksgiving of food, family, and football, and is ready to dive into the 11-game NFL main slate on DraftKings on Sunday. I’m not one to overact to weather conditions, but it is the time of year where looking at the weather forecast needs to be part of your process. Numerous games on Sunday have either wind or rain or both in the forecast which could limit the upside of some passing games. So, find your favorite meteorologist and if there are strong, sustained winds expected, then consider knocking down the quarterback and receivers in those matchups.

Quarterback

Jameis Winston (TB): $6,300 @ JAX
Winston has been consistent from a fantasy perspective over the last six weeks. He has topped 300 yards passing all six of those games while putting up at least 21 DraftKings points each week. He has posted better numbers on the road than at home this season and will take the Buccaneers to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars this week. The Jaguars have been more vulnerable to the run than the pass, but that is not the Bucs’ offensive M.O. Winston will instead look to take advantage of a pass defense that has allowed 8.26 yards per attempt (27th) over the last five weeks.

Other Notables:

Running Backs

Christian McCaffrey (CAR): $10,500 vs. WAS
It is another week to smash the button to put McCaffrey into your cash game lineup on DraftKings and then figure the rest out from there. His worst game over the last five weeks still produced 29.1 DK points. The Panthers are at home as double-digit favorites, not that McCaffrey needs a certain game environment to thrive. He’ll face a Redskins defense that has allowed 125 rushing yards (31st) per game over the last five weeks. They have also allowed big plays in the passing game to running backs allowing 10.9 yards per reception (28th) to pass-catching backs over the last five weeks.

Miles Sanders (PHI): $5,400 @ MIA
Jordan Howard seems unlikely to play again this week which should allow Sanders to lead the way in the Eagles’ backfield. Sanders has played about 85 percent of the offensive snaps over the last two weeks but has only had limited fantasy success. That should change this week with a favorable matchup and game script against the Dolphins. The Dolphins run defense has allowed 130 rushing yards (32nd) and 0.7 touchdowns (18th) per game to running backs this season on 4.69 YPC (27th). Add in a few catches and Sanders could be on his way to a breakout performance this week.

Other Notables:

Wide Receivers

Tyler Boyd (CIN): $5,500 vs. NYJ
The salary remaining at wide receiver will depend on who is the third running back you are plugging into the flex. Right now, Barkley is my third guy, so that leads this lineup into the mid-priced range at wide receiver. Boyd had a strong bounce-back performance last week with over 100 yards and a score and he gets an upgrade at quarterback this week with Andy Dalton back under center for the Bengals. In eight games with Dalton slinging the rock this year, Boyd has averaged over 10 targets with 6.4 receptions for 67 yards. Boyd will get a favorable matchup against a Jets secondary that has allowed 12.6 receptions (20th) for 161 yards (19th) and 2.0 touchdowns (31st) per game to wideouts over the last five weeks.

Chris Conley (JAX): $4,500 vs. TB
Conley has had at least seven targets come his way in five straight games. Over the last two games with Nick Foles at quarterback, Conley has averaged 5.0 receptions on 8.5 targets for 54 yards per game. This week, he could see those numbers increase in a matchup against the Buccaneers who stuff the run and are a sieve to opposing passing games. The Bucs have allowed 16.2 receptions (30th) for 209 yards (29th), and 2.2 touchdowns (32nd) per game to wide receivers over the last five weeks.

Other Notables:

Tight End

Jack Doyle (IND): $3,300 vs. TEN
No Eric Ebron. No T.Y. Hilton. The Colts’ receiving options are thin right now for a home matchup with the Titans. Doyle has at least three receptions in seven of the last eight games but has topped out at four grabs with Ebron around soaking up about five targets per game. Doyle should be one of the top targets for Jacoby Brissett this week with a cheap salary and in a neutral matchup against the Titans.

Other Notables:

D/ST

None
Yes, I know you have to pick a defense to plug into your DraftKings lineup, but there isn’t one that stands out above the rest on this slate. So, this week just take whichever defense fits in from the list below after you have prioritized all the rest of the positions in your lineup, and hope that the ball bounces your way.

Other Notables:

  • Eagles (PHI): $3,600 @ MIA
  • Steelers (PIT): $3,500 vs. CLE
  • Chargers (LAC): $3,100 @ DEN
  • Ravens (BAL): $2,800 vs. SF
  • Browns (CLE): $2,600 @ PIT
  • Redskins (WAS): $2,500 @ CAR
  • Giants (NYG): $1,900 vs. GB
