FanDuel NFL Cash Game Lineup Advice: Week 13 (2019)

FanDuel NFL Cash Game Lineup Advice: Week 13 (2019)
Welcome to Week 13 of the NFL season. Hopefully, everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. For myself, I’m most thankful for the fact that Week 12 is further and further in the rearview mirror. As easy as it would be to say my cash game lineup was solely derailed by Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons, it was a disaster through and through. Having a short memory though is paramount in DFS.
This week presents us a chance to rebound however and there’s plenty of games with decent point totals available to target. Given the holidays and craziness going on in everyone’s life, here’s a condensed version of the players I’m targeting for cash game considerations in Week 13:

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes (KC): $8,600 vs. Oakland Raiders
It’s Mahomes and he’s at home against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL. In his three career games against the Raiders, Mahomes has completed 63.2% of his passes averaging 339 yards per game. He’s thrown 10 touchdowns and only one interception in those three games.

On the season, the Raiders have allowed 55 pass plays of 20 yards or more this season. In the first meeting between these two teams, Tyreek Hill did not play. This time he is playing. The Chiefs also have a chance in this game to essentially wrap up the AFC West. Enough said.

Carson Wentz (PHI): $7,300 @ Miami Dolphins
It’s understandable to be a bit leary of Wentz and the Eagles offense. There’s also a question of whether Wentz has some serious mechanics issues. Fortunately for Wentz and company, Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor have returned to practice this week, albeit in a limited fashion.

Over the last two games, the Dolphins have allowed Josh Allen and Baker Mayfield to throw for a combined 583 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception. Allen added 56 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Pay close attention to the inactive list on Sunday. If Jeffery and Agholor are good to go, fire Wentz up in your cash game lineups.

Other notables

Lamar Jackson (BAL): $8,700 vs. SF

Andy Dalton (CIN): $6,000 vs. NYJ

Running Backs

Todd Gurley (LAR): $7,400 @ Arizona Cardinals
Suffice to say, the Rams offense has not performed well this season. Quarterback Jared Goff isn’t the only reason, despite being a big one. Gurley has two games where he has eclipsed 100 yards from scrimmage. A meeting with the Cardinals might help propel Gurley into RB1 territory again, however. They have allowed the sixth-most catches to opposing backfields, an area where Gurley continues to find success, just in smaller doses.

A big issue has been that Gurley hasn’t had the opportunities he had in year’s past. Whether the Rams are trying some form of  “load management” or not, Gurley has actually been somewhat productive in his limited touches.

Ronald Jones (TB): $6,200 @ Jacksonville Jaguars
This isn’t for the weak of heart. Having said that, Jones is clearly the best of a terrible backfield and the Jaguars have allowed 200 or more rushing yards the past three games. Quietly, Jones is averaging 4.0 yards per carry on the season and has a rushing touchdown in four of his last six games. If you’re trying to jam in the pass catchers in Kansas City or Christian McCaffrey, Jones offers some nice upside at his cost.

Other notables

Saquon Barkley (NYG): $7,600 vs. GB

Le’Veon Bell (NYJ): $7,300 @ CIN

Wide Receivers

Tyreek Hill (KC): $8,300 vs. Oakland Raiders
This one really doesn’t need much explaining. The Raiders have allowed an NFL high 1,343 yards on passes that traveled 15 or more yards through the air. Their pass defense is atrocious. Fire Hill up this weekend.

D.J. Moore (CAR): $6,800 vs. Washington Redskins
It’s safe to say that Moore has officially arrived as a legitimate WR1 in the NFL and in fantasy football. Over the last seven games, he’s had at least eight targets and five receptions. His last four games have totaled 101, 120, 95 and 126 receiving yards, respectively. On the season, Moore is fifth in receiving yards and should pass Julio Jones after this week. Should Moore put up a similar stat line this week, he’ll certainly justify cash considerations priced as the WR10 on Fanduel.

Other notables

Davante Adams (GB): $8,000 @ NYG

Tyler Boyd (CIN): $6,000 vs. NYJ

Tight Ends

Zach Ertz (PHI): $6,900 @ Miami Dolphins
Ertz popped up on the injury report this week with a hamstring injury and hasn’t practiced. Thus far this season, Ertz has racked up 100 targets, the most in the NFL among tight ends. Over the last three games, Ertz has 30 receptions on a staggering 36 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns.

In the unlikely event Ertz misses this game, Dallas Goedert should definitely be considered in your cash builds.

Travis Kelce (KC): $7,100 vs. Oakland Raiders
The Raiders have allowed six tight ends to hit double-digit FanDuel points. Last week, Ryan Griffin fell just short of that mark, however, he did find the end zone against the Raiders. In the three games Kelce has played against the Raiders while Mahomes has been starting, Kelce has posted 12-168-2, 5-62-0 and 7-107-1 in the boxscore.

Other notables

Jack Doyle (IND): $5,000  vs. TEN

Defense

Philadelphia Eagles: $5,000 @ Miami Dolphins
Over the last five games, the Dolphins have allowed 25 sacks and have thrown five interceptions. Since Jalen Mills has come back, the Eagles defense has actually played exceptionally well. Per Playerprofiler.com, Mills has allowed a 48.3% catch rate and an 87.3 passer rating against. His coverage rating is +40.2, ninth among corners.

Over the last four games, the Eagles have not allowed an opponent to score more than 17 points.

Other notables

Washington DST: $3,200 @ CAR

Pittsburgh DST: $3,700 vs. CLE
