FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 9 (2019)

FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 9 (2019)

There are two games on the Sunday main slate this week that should be very chalky when it comes to stacking passing games with the Lions/Raiders and Buccaneers/Seahawks. Those are the only two games with a Vegas total over 50 points on the slate and features numerous players with a lot of upside. While you are not wrong to stack those games, I’m going to pivot to some less obvious options that offer a ton of salary savings so you can jam in both of the high-priced stud running backs along with some other lower-owned high-upside plays.

So, with that let’s stack’em up for Week 9.

Stacking Options

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (MIA): $7,000 / WR DeVante Parker (MIA): $5,800
Fitzpatrick has averaged 17.4 FanDuel points over the last two weeks despite playing a pair of strong pass defenses in the Bills and Steelers both on the road. Things should get easier for Fitzpatrick and the Dolphins passing game this week with a home game against the Jets. The Jets have allowed 271 passing yards and 1.3 touchdown passes per game this season. The touchdown numbers are low due to the Jets inability to stop the run in the red zone but with a weak running game in Miami, look for Fitzpatrick to pass more often then run as the Dolphins enter the red zone. I’ll give DeVante Parker the slight edge over Preston Williams to pair with Fitzpatrick. Parker has had more targets than Williams in each of the last two games and has the most red-zone targets on the team over the last three weeks. Lock in the Jets big-play threat Robby Anderson on the other side for some exciting Dolphins/Jets stacking action.

Bring it back with: Robby Anderson (NYJ): $6,200

QB Mitchell Trubisky (CHI): $6,500 / WR Allen Robinson (CHI): $7,200
You might throw up a little bit when clicking Trubisky into your lineup but just power through. I know Trubisky has been brutal this season, but he and coach Matt Nagy have had some big offensive games in their tenure together in Chicago and the matchup this week offers some hope that one of those big games could come in Philadelphia this week. The Eagles defense is stout against the run ranking sixth in Defense-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) according to FootballOutsiders, but they rank just 16th DVOA against the pass. The Eagles have allowed 273 passing yards (24th) and 2.0 touchdown passes (24th) per game this year. Pair Trubisky with his number one target Allen Robinson who has at least seven targets in every game this season and leads the team in red-zone targets. Bring it back with the Eagles underachieving tight end Zach Ertz who could be in line for some positive regression.

Bring it back with: Zach Ertz (PHI): $6,000

RB Nick Chubb (CLE): $8,100 / DEF Browns: $4,300
Chubb could be the forgotten running back on this slate with a price point that falls in between the high-priced studs and the potential value options at the position. A matchup against the Broncos on the road isn’t the ideal spot but we have seen him flourish in worse matchups this season and we know he will get virtually every touch in the Browns backfield. On the other side of the ball, the Browns defense will take on a quarterback, Brandon Allen, making his first NFL start. The Browns should be able to put pressure on the inexperienced quarterback as they average 3.1 sacks (sixth) per game while the Broncos have allowed 3.4 sacks (26th) per game.

Low-Owned Stud

Tyreek Hill (WR – KC): $7,700
It seems strange to consider that Tyreek Hill might be under-owned on any given week that he is healthy but that might be the case this week with Matt Moore likely still under center while playing against a solid Vikings defense. Hill has big-play potential no matter who the quarterback is, and the Vikings secondary might not be as good as their reputation suggests, especially on the road. Hill will get the ball in his hands at least 10 times on Sunday and it only takes one big play to strike GPP gold.
