It’s Week 9, so let’s take a look at who is projected to be highly owned in FanDuel leagues. Each week, I’ll be taking a look at our projected ownership tool to give you DFS fantasy insights. Let’s see what we find this week!

Quarterback
Russel Wilson against Tampa Bay is the most popular pick this week by far. Russ also tops the charts on Paul Ghiglieri’s QB1 Primer this week, so I’m not surprised that FanDuel users are high on him too. The Buccaneers’ defense creates a perfect storm for Seattle’s passing game — Tampa Bay can stop the run, but they cannot stop the pass. Next up, we’ve got Matthew Stafford against the Raiders’ weak passing defense. I’m expecting a lot of points in that one, so look for Stafford to connect with his deep threats multiple times. Also, they don’t have a running game to fall back on, so Stafford should be a safe play even if it’s not very high scoring. Aaron Rodgers is the last of the quarterbacks projected with 10%+ ownership, and I’m not a fan. The Chargers’ defense hasn’t been great this year, so I expect the Packers to take advantage of their banged-up front seven and run the ball this week. Josh Allen should be a popular pick against Washington, and I think that he’ll get some solid air yards to John Brown this week. He’s also got a solid fantasy floor because of his running ability. Rivers rounds up the list against the solid Green Bay passing defense. The Packers give up a ninth-lowest 15.6 FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks, but Rivers’ bargain-bin price might be driving his popularity. I’m cautiously optimistic that Ken Whisenhunt’s firing will help Rivers out, but I’d prefer to take a wait-and-see approach.
