Fantasy Football Injury Report: Week 12 (2019)

Welcome to the dreaded injury report. Professional football is a violent game, and your fantasy players are going to miss time because of it. Hopefully, you don’t have many names on this list.

Week 12 is quite possibly the lightest injury report of all time.

Carson Wentz (QB – PHI)
The Eagles’ quarterback didn’t miss a snap on Sunday, but his hand was heavily wrapped post-game. Carson Wentz underwent x-rays, which came up negative. Wentz is not a fantasy option anyway, but the overall offense obviously takes a hit if he isn’t out there. From the looks of it, Wentz should play next week.

Julio Jones (WR – ATL)
Somehow held in check by a Bucs’ pass defense that hasn’t stopped anyone, Julio Jones briefly exited the game due to a shoulder injury. As he was able to return, he should be limited in practice this week, but ultimately play next week.

Hunter Renfrow (WR – OAK)
Derek Carr tried to get Hunter Renfrow killed on a third-down pass early in the Raiders’ embarrassing loss at the Jets, and he almost succeeded. Renfrow got crunched and was down for a while. He ultimately returned to the game and played through his rib injury. I would expect Renfrow to suit up next week.

Dwayne Haskins (QB – WAS)
The rookie quarterback got his first win on Sunday and didn’t miss any snaps, but his arm was in a sling following the game. It appears precautionary as Dwayne Haskins said he was fine, but players always think they’re fine. Whether Haskins plays or not has little impact on fantasy gamers.

Albert Wilson (WR – MIA)
Wilson suffered an injury to his ribs in Sunday’s loss to the Browns. While Wilson wasn’t someone you were likely starting, he has seen 13 targets over the last two weeks. If Wilson is forced to miss time, it would benefit DeVante Parker and Allen Hurns. Parker is the only Dolphins’ wide receiver that holds fantasy relevance at this point.
