Week 12 Target Analysis (2019 Fantasy Football)

Week 12 Target Analysis (2019 Fantasy Football)

This is the last week that fantasy owners will have to deal with bye weeks. That is good for fantasy owners, as next week will be the last week of the regular season for some fantasy leagues, and other leagues will have just two weeks of the regular season remaining. No matter what format your league utilizes for the playoffs, there is not much time left in the regular season, and fantasy owners are going to want to have full access to their rosters for the stretch run.

Here is a look at how all 32 NFL teams distributed the ball in Week 12. If you want to take a look at how the targets were distributed for every player in the NFL, check out FantasyPros’ Most Targeted Players.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals do have three straight home games coming off their bye week, but they are against the Los Angeles Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Cleveland Browns. QB Kyler Murray should be fantasy-viable in all those games, thanks to his rushing ability. The two big questions after the bye will be who is the lead running back going forward, RB Kenyan Drake or RB David Johnson. Both are very talented receiving backs, but Johnson has been dealing with a sprained ankle. Drake has looked good in this offense, and he may have a sizable role even when Johnson’s ankle returns to health. WR Christian Kirk is probably going to be the only wide receiver worth owning as WR Larry Fitzgerald has only one receiving touchdown since Week 3 and only two games of more than 60-yards receiving since Week 2. Fitzgerald is looking more like a WR4 or WR5 down the stretch than someone you want in your fantasy lineups.

Atlanta Falcons: Atlanta is horribly inconsistent, and even though Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston gave them a few turnovers, it was not enough to save their awful defense. QB Matt Ryan was also underwhelming, as he had 271 yards passing, no passing touchdowns, and one pick at home against a Buccaneers D that had allowed 303.4 yards passing per game with 25 touchdowns and six picks on the season. WR Calvin Ridley led the way with 14 targets, six receptions, 85 yards, and one touchdown. That was thrown by backup QB Matt Schaub in garbage time. WR Russell Gage continues to see work with 10 targets, eight receptions, and 76 yards. WR Julio Jones had nine targets, five receptions, 68 yards, and no touchdowns. Jones is dealing with a shoulder injury, which could open the door for Gage. TE Austin Hooper is also likely to miss this week, which also gives Gage some fantasy upside.

Baltimore Ravens: If I had told you that QB Lamar Jackson threw for only 169 yards and that the leading receiver in the game was WR Miles Boykin with 54 yards receiving, you would probably think this was a competitive game and that the Rams kept the Ravens offense in check. You would be absolutely wrong on that assumption, as the Ravens dominated the Rams 45-6 thanks to 48 rushing attempts for 285 yards and five passing touchdowns. WR Marquise Brown and WR Willie Snead both had two touchdowns, and RB Mark Ingram scored a touchdown on both the ground and in the air. The thing you have to worry about is that if guys like WR Marquise Brown and TE Mark Andrews do not score a touchdown, they do not have much fantasy value. It is not uncommon to see the top Ravens receiver have only 60 yards receiving in this offense. The Ravens are unlike any offense we have ever seen. When QB Peyton Manning had 410.1 fantasy points in 2013, he had four players with double-digit touchdowns and four players with at least 778 yards receiving. Jackson is on pace for 454.4 fantasy points with no Raven on pace for 1,000-yards receiving, and only two players likely to reach double-digit receiving touchdowns. The Ravens have a tough game coming up against the 49ers elite defense.

Buffalo Bills: QB Josh Allen was not flashy, but he had 185 yards passing, two passing touchdowns, one pick, and a QB rating of 92.9. It was enough to beat the Denver Broncos 20-3 at home. The usual suspects put up the numbers this week, as WR Cole Beasley had nine targets, six receptions, six receptions, 76 yards, and one touchdown. WR John Brown added four targets, two receptions, 39 yards, and one touchdown. Nobody else had more than three targets or 25 yards receiving in this game. The Bills will travel to Dallas to take part in Thanksgiving Football against the Dallas Cowboys. Brown and Beasley will continue to be the only skill-position players worth owning in the passing game.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers offense had been struggling in recent weeks, scoring less than 20 points in three of their last four games and 19 points in their last two games. It figures that when they finally scored 31 points in New Orleans, that they would still come up short, losing 34-31. QB Kyle Allen had 256 yards and three passing touchdowns, but the only players that were relevant in the passing game were WR D.J. Moore and RB Christian McCaffrey. Moore had nine targets, six receptions, 126 yards, and two touchdowns. That was the first time he found the red zone since Week 3. McCaffrey added nine targets, nine receptions, 69 yards, and one touchdown. TE Greg Olsen was the only other Panther with more than 10-yards receiving, finishing with five receptions for 44 yards. WR Curtis Samuel has not shown up the last two weeks, finishing with four receptions for 25 yards last week and one reception for nine yards this week. The only thing that saved his fantasy day was 40 yards rushing. The Panthers host a bad Washington team next week, which should allow this offense to stay on track. I think that McCaffrey is obviously the dominant player in this offense and that Moore and Olsen are solid options. Samuel seems to be the player losing steam down the stretch.

Chicago Bears: Things are pretty bad when QB Mitchell Trubisky has 278 yards passing, one touchdown, two picks, and a QB rating of 68.9 — and it’s a reason to celebrate. WR Allen Robinson was spectacular with 10 targets, six receptions, 131 yards, and one touchdown. WR Anthony Miller also had nine targets, six receptions, and 77 yards. Their third most productive player was RB Tarik Cohen with nine targets, seven receptions, and just 29 yards receiving. Keep in mind this was the performance they had at home against a Giants team that was 24th against fantasy quarterbacks headed into this week. They travel to Detroit for a Thanksgiving Day game with the Detroit Lions. The Lions were 28th against fantasy quarterbacks headed into this game, but Robinson is the only player I would think about playing in fantasy, even against the Lions defense in a dome.

Cincinnati Bengals: Bengals QB Ryan Finley was not much to write home about, going 12 for 26 with 192 yards, one touchdown, and no interceptions. The only viable fantasy receiver was WR Tyler Boyd, with nine targets, five receptions, 101 yards, and one touchdown. No other player had more than 50-yards receiving. I would probably only trust Boyd in this passing offense going forward. WR Alex Erickson and WR Auden Tate have shown some promise, and WR John Ross could be back in Week 14, but this Bengals offense is among the worst in the league, and nobody other than Boyd can be consistently trusted in the passing game. QB Andy Dalton appears to be poised to start in Week 13, but even he is not enough to make this passing game desirable in fantasy football.

Cleveland Browns: QB Baker Mayfield had his best fantasy game of the season, as he had 327 yards and three passing touchdowns. That was his first three-touchdown pass of the season, and he made them all count. WR Jarvis Landry had 13 targets, 10 receptions, 148 yards, and two touchdowns, and WR Odell Beckham Jr. had eight targets, six receptions, 84 yards, and one touchdown. That was the first time that Beckham Jr. and Landry scored in the same game all season. The Browns have suddenly won three straight games, but they have a brutal matchup at the Pittsburgh Steelers. They did beat them in Cleveland in Week 11, but Mayfield had only 193 yards and two passing touchdowns in that game. It will be hard for the Browns to duplicate their Week 12 breakout game.

Dallas Cowboys: Everyone knew it was going to be tough for Dallas to move the ball this week. The Patriots were allowing a QB rating of only 49.2 coming into this game, and QB Dak Prescott finished with 212 yards passing, no passing touchdowns, one pick, and a QB rating of 64.2. WR Randall Cobb led the way with four receptions for 86 yards, and WR Amari Cooper was held without a catch on two targets. The only other player with more than 50-yards receiving was WR Michael Gallup, who had 55 yards receiving. I would chalk this up to being an outlier game on the road in bad weather against the best defense in the NFL. The Cowboys do have another tough game this week at home against a stingy Buffalo Bills defense on Thanksgiving Day.

Denver Broncos: This felt like a game that the Broncos were going to struggle in, and that happened with the offense scoring only three points. They were coming off a game where they lost despite leading 20-0 at the half, and it looked like they were experiencing a hangover from last week. Still, QB Brandon Allen was not even serviceable with 25 pass attempts, 82 yards passing, no passing touchdowns, and one interception. When you take into account that their offense lost 33 yards on sacks, they netted just 49 yards in the passing game. WR Courtland Sutton led the team in receiving yards with 27 yards. The Broncos return home to play the Los Angeles Chargers, but all bets are off with Allen under center. I would expect second-round pick Drew Lock to be under center at some point this season. It really does not change anything, though. WR Courtland Sutton is still a viable starter, TE Noah Fant has upside at the tight end spot, and WR Tim Patrick is a boom/bust WR4 or WR5. There is not a quarterback on their roster that is going to change that calculus.

Detroit Lions: The Lions were too busy turning the ball over to put up good passing numbers, as QB Jeff Driskel had only 207 yards passing, one passing touchdown and three interceptions. They leaned on a running game that had 32 rushing attempts for 175 yards. WR Kenny Golladay led the way with four targets, four receptions, and 61 yards. Marvin Jones was the most targeted player with 11 targets, but he had only five receptions for 46 yards, and no other player eclipsed 30-yards receiving. The Lions not having Stafford has neutered their offense, and it will not make sense to rush him back with broken bones in his back to save a 3-7-1 season. The Lions have a short week as they host the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving. Driskel does have a bum hamstring, which means the NFL may be introduced to UDFA David Blough this week.

Green Bay Packers: Disaster is an understatement when describing the Green Bay Packers offense on Sunday Night Football. QB Aaron Rodgers was 20 for 33 for 104 yards, one touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 75.8. A quarterback averaging 3.2 yards per attempt is something we expect from an NFL journeyman, not a future Hall of Famer. WR Davante Adams was the leading wide receiver with 12 targets, seven receptions, 43 yards, and one touchdown. RB Jamaal Williams added eight targets, seven receptions, 35 yards, and no touchdowns. The good news for fantasy owners is the next two opponents are at the New York Giants and Washington Redskins. The bigger dilemma for fantasy owners is what to do with QB Aaron Rodgers and the passing game against the Chicago Bears in Week 15 and at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16. It is going to be hard to trust him against a good defense after one of the worst games of his career in a season that he has not been able to competently move the ball against the best defenses in the NFL.

Houston Texans: Houston saw the return of one of their best players, and it really helped their passing game. WR Will Fuller returned from a hamstring injury, and he gives the team a deep threat that they do not have when he is injured. Fuller had 11 targets, seven receptions, 140 yards, and no touchdowns. His 51-yard and 44-yard receptions were big plays that helped loosen things up in the shorter part of the field. WR DeAndre Hopkins had eight targets, six receptions, 94 yards, and two touchdowns. Nobody else scored a touchdown or had more than 30-yards receiving. The Texans have some extra rest coming off Thursday Night Football before they play the best pass defense in the NFL, the New England Patriots.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts were unable to pass the ball on Thursday Night Football, as Jacoby Brissett finished with just 129 yards passing on 25 passing attempts. This is a run-oriented offense that saw the Colts run the ball 39 times for 175 yards and two rushing touchdowns, and they only passed the ball when necessary. WR T.Y. Hilton was back in action, but he finished with only six targets, three receptions, and 18 yards. He was on a pitch count with a bum calf, and he could be out or limited this week. TE Eric Ebron was the leading receiver with five targets, four receptions, and 44 yards. He is definitely going to be out this week, as he was placed on IR with injuries to both ankles. The Colts play the Tennessee Titans at home in Week 13. The Colts have owned the Titans in recent years, but other than Hilton and TE Jack Doyle, there is not much to trust in this passing game. They also have very low floors on a team that runs the ball as much as the Colts run the ball.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars struggled on offense, but they were in the game for the first half trailing only 7-3. The floodgates opened in the third quarter when the Titans scored 28 points in a little under seven minutes, and suddenly, the score was 35-3 with 6:57 left in the third quarter. RB Leonard Fournette scored a couple of garbage-time touchdowns after that, but the Jaguars were done, and their passing game struggled to find a rhythm. QB Nick Foles had 48 passing attempts, but only 272 passing yards and WR Dede Westbrook led the way with nine targets, eight receptions, and just 69 yards. WR D.J. Chark was held to five receptions for 38 yards. The Jaguars travel home to face a horrific Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary. Hopefully for fantasy owners, Foles can do more damage in Week 13 in a much better matchup.

Kansas City Chiefs: Kansas City was a team in need of a week to regroup. They had an exciting win in Mexico City against the Los Angeles Chargers, but WR Tyreek Hill tweaked his hamstring, and their offense has had some consistency issues in recent weeks. I think coming out of the bye week, they should be in good shape against an Oakland Raiders team that overlooked the New York Jets and lost 34-3. Hill should be ready to roll against the Raiders secondary, as should TE Travis Kelce. The big question is whether Sammy Watkins can have an impact down the stretch. Watkins has not scored a touchdown since the three he had in the opener, and he has not tallied more than 65-yards receiving in any game since Week 1. Watkins is second on the team in targets with 69, but WR Mecole Hardman has been the more productive player with 37 targets, 23 receptions, 450 yards, and five receiving touchdowns. It remains to be seen if Kansas City can regain their 2018 form down the stretch to have more viable players in the passing game than Hill and Kelce.

Los Angeles Chargers: The Chargers do not have much chance to make the playoffs. They are a 4-7 team, and that means that they would need to win out and have a lot of help to finish as one of the six best teams in the AFC. They do have jobs to play for, though, and that starts with a road win at Denver in Week 13. The biggest disappointment on this team has been the wide receivers. WR Keenan Allen has 107 targets, but only 796 yards receiving and four receiving touchdowns. He has been a disappointment since Week 3 as he scored his first touchdown since then last week. WR Mike Williams does have 661 yards receiving, and he is averaging 20.0 yards per catch, but he has yet to score a touchdown. Denver has one of the best secondary units in the league, and the Chargers had only 211 yards passing and no passing touchdowns the last time they met.

Los Angeles Rams: The Rams were exposed on Monday Night Football, losing to the Baltimore Ravens 45-6. They have a lot of problems on offense, and while the easy thing to do is blame QB Jared Goff, the problem is also a bad offensive line. In 2017 and 2018, Pro Football Focus ranked the Rams as the sixth offensive line. After eight games, they ranked the Rams 31st, and the Rams were 5-3 at that point. They now sit at 6-5, and they have scored only 35 points in their last three games. Goff had only 212 yards passing, no passing touchdowns, and two picks. WR Robert Woods led the way with six receptions for 97 yards on nine targets. No other player had more than 40 yards receiving. The biggest slowdown on offense has come from WR Cooper Kupp. He was held without a catch in Week 10, and in the last two weeks, he has 53 and 35 yards. He has been nonexistent in their offensive since posting 220 yards receiving in London back in Week 8. The Rams have a much easier matchup at the Arizona Cardinals this week, but their offense is really sputtering down the stretch.

Miami Dolphins: Miami was down 28-3 at the half, so most of the points in the second half were garbage time points. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had 214 yards passing and two passing touchdowns, but unfortunately for fantasy owners, none of them went to WR DeVante Parker. He was still respectable with six receptions, 91 yards, and no touchdowns on 11 targets. WR Allen Hurns and TE Mike Gesicki scored the two touchdowns, but they were in garbage time, and neither player had more than 45-yards receiving. Parker remains the player with the most upside in this offense, and that should continue the rest of the way. The Dolphins have a tough home game against an Eagles team that has given up only 44 points in their last three games.

Minnesota Vikings: I think if you asked people who had the second-highest QB rating in the NFL, most people would not guess it is Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins at 114.8. He only had three touchdown passes in his first four games, and he looked unplayable. He now has 21 touchdowns against three picks, and he is a top-10 fantasy option. His fantasy receivers have not really benefited from his stellar play. WR Adam Thielen has been hurt, and he is hoping to return this week. WR Stefon Diggs leads the team with 46 receptions for 880 yards and five touchdowns. They are both the stars of the passing game, and they will both be starting options on Monday Night Football against Seattle. Keep an eye on TE Kyle Rudolph. The Seahawks have struggled against fantasy tight ends, and Rudolph has five receiving touchdowns in his last five games. He could be a red zone threat in Seattle against their suspect tight end defense.

New England Patriots: If you are looking for pretty offensive football, New England is not the place for you. Bill Belichick has the best defense in the NFL, and he is content to run the football and do the bare minimum in the passing game. QB Tom Brady had just 190 yards passing on 37 passing attempts with one touchdown and no picks. WR Julian Edelman led the way with 12 targets, eight receptions, 93 yards, and no touchdowns. WR Jakobi Meyers had nine targets, four receptions, 74 yards, and no touchdowns. Nobody else had more than 20-yards receiving, and rookie WR N’Keal Harry had the only touchdown of the game. The Patriots were missing WR Mohamed Sanu and WR Phillip Dorsett, but this looks like an offense where Edelman is going to be a consistent WR1 in PPR leagues, and the rest of the players will be all over the map. The Patriots will be at the Houston Texans next week.

New Orleans Saints: QB Drew Brees was dominant with 30 completions on 39 attempts for 311 yards, three touchdowns, one pick, and a QB rating of 114.4. However, it was the three consistent players in their offense that still dominated the touches. WR Michael Thomas had 11 targets, 10 receptions, 101 yards, and one touchdown. RB Alvin Kamara had nine targets, nine receptions, and 48 yards. TE Jared Cook added eight targets, six receptions, 99 yards, and one touchdown. Nobody else had more than 40-yards receiving, and WR Tre’Quan Smith had the only other receiving touchdown on his only reception of the game, which went for 13 yards. The Saints have a great matchup in Atlanta on Thanksgiving Night, although they laid an egg against the Falcons back in Week 10. I would expect them to be closer to this performance than the bad game they had at home when they lost 26-9.

New York Giants: The Giants were always going to have a tough road to haul in Chicago, as the Bears were the fifth-ranked fantasy quarterback defense headed into that game. QB Daniel Jones was not great, but he did have 150 yards passing, two passing touchdowns, and no picks. He did fumble the ball once, but that was his only turnover of the game. I think WR Darius Slayton is going to be a big name in the fantasy playoffs, and he showed he has a decent floor, finishing with four receptions for 67 yards on seven targets against one of the toughest secondary units in the league. WR Golden Tate had only 33 yards receiving, but he did score a touchdown, and he should have good fantasy value down the stretch too. WR Sterling Shepard was back in action, having recovered from his second concussion of the season, but he had only five receptions for 15 yards on a team-high nine targets. TE Kaden Smith filling in for TE Evan Engram had five receptions for 17 yards and scored a touchdown. They have another tough game at home against Green Bay before having a great schedule for the fantasy playoffs with games at Philadelphia, against Miami, and at Washington. Slayton, Tate, and Shepard could all have big games for fantasy owners, and Engram should have a role too when he returns from injury.

New York Jets: The Jets have been an inconsistent team, as they have now beaten the Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders at home, but they have also lost at home to the Cleveland Browns and at the Miami Dolphins. QB Sam Darnold had 315 yards passing, two passing touchdowns, and WR Robby Anderson was finally his featured receiver. Anderson had four receptions for 86 yards and one touchdown, while TE Ryan Griffin has turned into a nice streamer in recent weeks, finishing with 13 yards receiving and the other touchdown. WR Jamison Crowder was quiet with two receptions for 18 yards. The Jets play at the Cincinnati Bengals last week, which could be another big game for Darnold.

Oakland Raiders: Oakland fell victim to having a big game at Kansas City in Week 13 and looking past a bad Week 12 opponent. They were competitive for a quarter, as the score was tied 3-3 after the first quarter. The Jets scored the next 31 points of the game and led 34-3 heading into the fourth quarter. QB Derek Carr was benched with 127 passing yards, and they finished with 147 yards passing. The only players that finished with over 40-yards receiving were RB Jalen Richard with 47 yards and TE Darren Waller with 41 yards. They should fare better in Week 13 against the Chiefs with Waller and WR Tyrell Williams being the usual fantasy players to have in your lineup. This was just a week where everything that could go wrong went wrong for the Raiders.

Philadelphia Eagles: I know people have talked about QB Carson Wentz struggling, but their wide receiver position has been a mess. They did not have WR Alshon Jeffery or WR Nelson Agholor in this game. As a result, this passing offense flowed through the tight end spot, as TE Zach Ertz had 14 targets, 12 receptions, 91 yards, and one touchdown. Backup TE Dallas Goedert had eight targets, seven receptions, and 32 yards. That means the tight ends accounted for 22 of the 45 targets, and the wide receivers accounted for just 18 targets. Wentz needs to play better, but he also needs wide receivers to throw the ball to, and teams have figured out that this entire passing game runs through the tight end position. The Eagles do have a nice matchup at the Miami Dolphins, and I would look for them to rebound.

Pittsburgh Steelers: QB Mason Rudolph had four interceptions two weeks ago, and last week, he attempted 16 passes and completed only eight of them for 85 yards, no touchdowns, one pick, and a QB rating of 39.8. That led to the Steelers going with QB Devlin Hodges in the second half. He completed only five passes in 11 attempts, but those completions went for 118 yards, one touchdown, and he had no picks. WR James Washington had three receptions for 98 yards and the only touchdown. No other player had more than 40-yards receiving in the game. This is a tough offense to trust. They have been playing without QB Ben Roethlisberger the entire season, and now they are without starting RB James Conner and starting WR JuJu Smith-Schuster. I would challenge any NFL offense to be effective without their starting quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. There are not a lot of good fantasy options next week against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers are currently relegated to playing defense and running the football, so passing yards will be unpredictable and hard to come by until they have Conner and Smith-Schuster back in the mix and they can find some consistency at the quarterback spot. Hodges will try to give them that consistency this week, as he has been named the starting quarterback instead of Rudolph.

San Francisco 49ers: QB Jimmy Garoppolo was solid going 14 for 20 with 253 yards, two touchdowns, no picks, and a QB rating of 145.8. TE George Kittle led the way with six receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown. WR Deebo Samuel chipped in with two receptions for 50 yards and one touchdown. Nobody else had more than 30-yards receiving, and WR Emmanuel Sanders was a disappointment with one reception for 15 yards. That is the reality of the 49ers passing game, Kittle usually dominates the targets, and it can be any other wide receiver that joins the mix with two wide receivers rarely having great fantasy value in the same game. The 49ers have a tough matchup on the road against the Baltimore Ravens defense.

Seattle Seahawks: QB Russell Wilson was not very flashy, but the Eagles offense was stuck in the mud, and the Seahawks passed the ball only 25 times and ran it 26 times for 174 yards and one touchdown. As a result, there was not a lot happening in the passing game, as Wilson finished with 200 yards passing and one passing touchdown against one interception. WR Tyler Lockett had only one reception for 38 yards, but he led the team in receiving yards, and WR Malik Turner had a 33-yard touchdown on his only reception of the game. The Seahawks had nobody gain more than 40-yards receiving, but five players that gained more than 30-yards receiving. It was a great win for them on the road, beating a good Eagles team 17-9. It did not do much for fantasy owners, who will hope for more production next week at home on Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: QB Jameis Winston still made t0o many mistakes, as he had two more interceptions. However, he made far more good plays than bad ones, and the Buccaneers were able to survive those against a bad team to win 35-22 in Atlanta. As usual, though, there seems to be only one player per game that makes the big plays, and this week it was WR Chris Godwin. He had eight targets, seven receptions, 184 yards, and two touchdowns. WR Mike Evans also had eight targets, but they went for only four receptions and 50 yards. The only other player that had more than 20-yards receiving was WR Breshad Perriman with one target, one reception, and 44 yards. TE O.J. Howard and TE Cameron Brate continued to underwhelm with Howard being the only one to catch a pass, and it was good for just 10 yards. The Buccaneers play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13. Godwin and Evans figure to be the only players you can trust in the Buccaneers passing game.

Tennessee Titans: The Tennessee Titans destroyed the Jacksonville Jaguars 42-20, but the bulk of the damage was done on the ground. The Titans had had 33 rushing attempts for 219 yards and four rushing touchdowns. That meant that QB Ryan Tannehill had to pass the ball only 18 times for 259 yards and two touchdowns. The problem for fantasy owners is the only skill-position player that had any value in the passing game was WR A.J. Brown. He had five targets, four receptions, 135 yards, and one touchdown. No other player had more than 30-yards receiving, and OT Dennis Kelly scored the other passing touchdown. The Titans will have a tough road game at the Indianapolis Colts.

Washington Redskins: Washington was able to win their second game of the season, but it was not because of an explosive passing game. QB Dwayne Haskins had just 156 yards passing and no passing touchdowns on 29 pass attempts. WR Terry McLaurin led the way with 12 targets, five receptions, 72 yards, and no touchdowns. McLaurin has cooled since a strong start to the season, but he is still the only player that has any fantasy value, and he is a boom/bust WR3 on this stagnant offense. The only reason they won this game is that QB Matthew Stafford was unable to go, and the Lions had three interceptions and a lost fumble. Even with four turnovers, the Lions only lost by three points. Washington will travel to Carolina to play a struggling Panthers team.
