Every good thing has to come to an end. It’s the last week of the NFL regular season, and that’s always a hard one to predict. Lots of teams already know their fates when it comes to the playoffs, so they won’t have the same incentives to play good football as they did before. Playing Week 17 in DFS requires a lot of prep, but fortunately, I can help you with that. Each week, I’ll be offering you some fantasy analysis on the ownership numbers from our projected ownership tool, so let’s get started!

Quarterback
With a lot of options on the slate this week, Patrick Mahomes is the only guy expected to clear 20%. That might be some undue disrespect to Los Angeles, however, as they’re a top-six defense against opposing quarterbacks. Mahomes hasn’t been matchup-proof this season, and he even struggled against the Chargers back in Week 11. Sure, Tyreek Hill went down early in that one, but you should be careful before locking in Mahomes as your QB1. NFC South gunslingers Jameis Winston and Drew Brees both make the list, and both should be locks for big points this weekend, as they had solid performances against their divisional opponents earlier this year. Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz wrap up the list against weak defenses, and they’re strong options at their low price point. If you’ve got a little bit more cap space to spare, though, I’d roll with Matt Ryan ($6,500, 4.6% projected ownership).
