FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 15 (2019)

Week 15 of the NFL season is shaping up to be a good week for GPPs and stacking with 10 of the 13 games on Sunday’s main FanDuel slate coming in with a Vegas total between 45 to 51 points. This provides a plethora of teams and games to consider stacking up. There could also be some value options worth a dart throw due to injuries, especially at the wide receiver position, so watch the news and don’t be afraid to take a shot on a cheap player expected to get more snaps. Also, watch for players that look iffy right now but end up getting cleared to play as they could go lower owned than they should since nobody has been talking about them all week.

So, with that let’s stack’em up for Week 15.

Stacking Options

QB Jameis Winston (TB): $8,200 / WR Chris Godwin (TB): $8,400 / TE O.J. Howard (TB): $5,700
The chalkiest game to stack will likely be the Texans/Titans tilt, so let’s pivot to another potential shootout between the Buccaneers and Lions. Winston is questionable with a thumb injury but seems likely to play. The “Q” next to his name will hopefully suppress his ownership a little bit despite a great matchup against the Lions. The Lions rank 25th Defense-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) against the pass according to FootballOutsiders, while giving up 271 passing yards (25th) and 2.0 touchdown passes (22nd) per game over the last five weeks. With Mike Evans out, there are some targets up for grabs including in the red zone, which is where I expect the rejuvenated O.J. Howard to cash in. While Chris Godwin will continue to garner huge volume and upside. Bring it back with David Blough‘s top wideout Kenny Golladay, who should get more looks with Marvin Jones out.

Bring it back with: Kenny Golladay (DET): $7,900

QB Philip Rivers (LAC): $7,400 / WR Keenan Allen (LAC): $6,800
A matchup that I think will go overlooked on this slate but has plenty of shootout potential is the game between the Vikings and Chargers. While the Vikings strong run defense should contain the Chargers ground game, the Viking pass defense has been gashed by good offenses, especially on the road which is where they will be this week. Rivers has averaged 311 passing yards and two touchdowns over the last three weeks and has all of his offensive weapons at his disposal. Mike Williams ($6,200) finally found the end zone last week, which should push his ownership higher than Keenan Allen who is just $600 more and a much more consistent option. If Adam Thielen returns to the lineup this week, it is a great spot to immediately plug him into a GPP lineup.

Bring it back with: Adam Thielen (MIN): $7,300

RB Sony Michel (NE): $6,100 / DEF Patriots: $5,000
Michel has struggled mightily recently as the Patriots have gotten into some negative game scripts for their running game by falling behind. That shouldn’t be the case this week with the Patriots as a double-digit favorite against the Bengals. The Bengals rank 28th DVOA against the run and have allowed 116 rushing yards (28th) and 0.8 touchdowns (25th) per game to running backs this season. Michel is cheap and still has multiple touchdown upside in this week’s game environment. Pair him with the expensive Patriots defense which will reduce their ownership level despite a great matchup against a Bengals team that has allowed 3.3 sacks (26th) and 1.8 turnovers (28th) per game this season.

Low-Owned Stud

Dalvin Cook (RB – MIN): $8,500
Apparently, I am all over the Chargers/Vikings game, as Cook is my low-owned stud to consider. Cook could be a forgotten man this week with cheaper and similarly priced running backs in better matchups. Even though Cook was questionable last week, he still played and saw 20 touches to produced solid numbers. This week he should come in healthier while backup Alexander Mattison has some injury concerns which could ramp up Cook’s touches in a matchup with the Chargers who rank just 23rd DVOA against the run this season.
