FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Thursday 12/5

FanDuel NHL Lineup Advice: Thursday 12/5

The Maple Leafs have lost three of their last four, dropping back to .500 again. The Penguins picked up an impressive 3-0 victory over the Blues last night, despite all their injuries. Boston has won eight straight, and the Red Wings have lost ten straight. We have a full nine-game slate in the NHL tonight; let’s take a look at some DFS options.

Center

Kevin Hayes (PHI): $5,500 vs. ARI
The 7.14 million dollar man is starting to heat up. He has seven points in his last eight games, in which the Flyers have won six of those contests. He is playing on a line with Scott Laughton and the young Joel Farabee. Hayes began the year slowly, but he is starting to come on. I’m willing to take a shot at this price that he will keep this hot streak going.

Wing

Jason Zucker (MIN): $6,000 at TB
Zucker put himself out there earlier this season when he called out his team and coach for not being good enough. Minnesota has played some very good hockey of late, recording a point in each of their last ten games (7-0-3). Zucker has been involved with eight points over that span. He is playing on the top line with Eric Staal and Mats Zuccarello, as well as the top power-play unit. He’s got a tough matchup in Tampa, but the Lightning are surprisingly in the bottom third of the league in goals-against per game.

Artemi Panarin (NYR): $8,100 at CBJ
Panarin has been everything the Rangers could have asked for this season. He already has 33 points over 26 games. Tonight he returns to Columbus for the first time since exiting as a free agent this past summer. He has gone two straight games without a point, but he has not gone three straight games without one all season. I expect Panarin to be on the board tonight. It’s a high price, but it should pay off.

Defense

Tony DeAngelo (NYR): $4,200 at CBJ
I’m going to stack rangers here with Panarin and DeAngelo. New York has been experimenting with its top power-play unit of late. Jacob Trouba and Adam Fox have both taken a crack at quarterbacking the top group, but it’s Tony DeAngelo who has received the latest promotion. DeAngelo has four points in his last five games. He should chip in with shots on goal as well. Tonight in Columbus, I want the guy feeding Panarin the one-time shots on the power play.

Goalie

Brian Elliott (PHI): $7,600 vs. ARI
Elliott has played well of late, winning his last three starts. He has been making over 30 saves per game over that span. On the season, Elliot has a 2.70 GAA and a .916 SV%. The Arizona Coyotes have impressed this season, but they are still towards the bottom of the league in goals per game. The Flyers are the betting favorite in this contest at -150. If Elliot can pick up a win with over 30 saves, he will be well worth this discounted price.
