Kyle Yates’ 2020 Dynasty Big Board (Post NFL Draft Rankings)

Kyle Yates’ 2020 Dynasty Big Board (Post NFL Draft Rankings)

The NFL Draft is officially behind us! We can finally stop bickering about what players are going to be drafted where/when and can now get to the part that really matters for fantasy football…analyzing their landing spots.

This class is incredibly loaded with talent and some rookies fell into amazing landing spots, but now what does all this mean for fantasy football? Rookie drafts are starting up here soon (if yours hasn’t already started) and we need to know how to value these players in their new situations.

As a reminder, my grading scale is completed in three phases. The first phase is Tape Evaluation, which requires watching a minimum of three games of tape on each player and assigning them a numerical grade based on eight specific categories. The second phase is Combine & Injury Rating, which entails assigning them a numerical grade based on their Combine performance using Weight Adjusted SPARQ. It also additionally entails assigning them a numerical grade based on previous injury history and long-term concerns. Finally, the third phase factors in Landing Spots. This is a weighted numerical grade, which results in this final big board.

All of these scores have been put together to result in the final placement below. Keep in mind that this is not an attempt to predict the order in which your Dynasty rookie drafts are going to go…this is a Big Board which places players based on talent level and situational value. It’s up to you, the Dynasty owner, to now take this board and compare it with Dynasty ADP to find out where you can, and could, be taking these players. Devin Duvernay, for example, is probably not going to go in the top-14 picks of your Dynasty rookie draft, but this allows you to recognize where value is as your draft plays out. If Duvernay is still on the board in the 3rd round, you can lean back on this Dynasty Big Board to recognize that you’re getting a very talented player at that spot.

If you have any questions on how Dynasty Big Boards should be used, feel free to reach out on Twitter @KyleYNFL and we can discuss it further there. I’m happy to help however I can to ensure that you crush your Dynasty rookie draft.
