Q3. What is your general strategy tip for Round 14?

Now, this is a great round of players, many of which I prefer to those in Round 13. Given this will be a shortened season, Urias becomes extremely attractive as we won’t have to worry about his innings limit. Biggio should be awesome in Toronto and deserves to be ranked much higher. If Lux is starting when the season opens, he should be ranked higher as well. And if you like safety, Adam Eaton is a multi-category contributor on a great offense.
– Jarad Evans (@Jarad_Evans)

This is an odd grouping of shiny new toys and unassuming veterans. It’d be one thing if you could get Biggio, Urias, Lux, or Edman at this price, but they all often go much earlier. Eaton, Segura, and McCutchen, meanwhile, could drop at least another round or two. Urias and Maeda could both be significant benefactors from a shortened season.
– Andrew Gould (@AndrewGould4)

There are probably a couple of studs and a few busts in this round, but it is hard to know who they are. The upside is overflowing with guys like Biggio and Lux, and then you have some reliable categorical contributors like Eaton (runs, steals, average) and McCutchen (OBP, runs). I would probably prefer to reach for some upside with a Urias, Lux, or Davis – but your decision here is largely predicated on how your team is built thus far.
– Jon Anderson (@JonPGH)

The split between groups of players is growing with each passing round, and we’re likely to be deciding between low-ceiling, but high-floor players or high risk-reward sleepers. As I have written in the past, I like to pair odd rounds with the subsequent even round. In this case, if I took a big chance in the last round, I would target someone with a steadier baseline here.
– Mario Mergola (@MarioMergola)

I’m thinking about needs in terms of positional availability, along with where I stand in each category. If I haven’t taken a 2B yet and need a bump across the board for offense, Biggio is enticing at this price. Eaton makes for a solid OF3/high-end OF4 in this range. However, if I didn’t take Maeda already, I am 100% taking him here. I don’t think we’ve seen his best season yet. Overall, just keep taking your guys.
– Carmen Maiorano (@carmsclubhouse)

There are some incredible values in this round from Kenta Maeda and J.D. Davis to Gavin Lux and Andrew McCutchen. If you can get any of those four, you’d do well. But Julio Urias is far and away the prize of this pack to me. With a shortened season likely, his innings limit won’t be an issue any more and he has a chance to be one of the game’s top inning for inning starters.
– Bobby Sylvester (@bobbyfantasypro)

There is a ton of value in this round, including several players who can be impact fantasy options. With the shortened season, Julio Urias should be going much higher, and Cavan Biggio, Kenta Maeda, Tommy Edman, and potentially Gavin Lux are going to greatly outperform their draft position. With plenty of options at any position, this round is all about whatever suits your team best. Unless you can grab Urias, in which case, do it.
