With another week in the NFL in the books, it’s time to look at some players in your dynasty leagues to either buy, sell, or hold. There weren’t as many injuries as last week thankfully, but we saw some injuries once again in Week 3. Chris Godwin, Chris Carson, John Brown, and Dallas Goedert were some notable names that dealt with some sort of injury. If your team is sitting with just one or no wins so far, now is a crucial time to make some moves to help get your team back on track before it is too late. Here are some players that I’ll be looking to buy, sell or hold in your dynasty football leagues heading into Week 4.

James Robinson (RB – JAC)
Through his first three games in the NFL, James Robinson has 210 rushing yards on 43 carries with three rushing touchdowns. Through the air, he’s added 10 receptions on 11 targets for 129 receiving yards. Robinson has been great and watching him play he definitely looks good enough to lead this backfield. While Robinson has definitely looked the part, the likelihood that an undrafted free agent ends up being the lead back for the future in Jacksonville isn’t great. The Jaguars offense as a whole has shown some promise at times, but losing so badly to the Dolphins brought things back down to earth for Gardner Minshew and this offense.
If I own Robinson, I’d be looking to sell high on him in dynasty. Whether it be an overreaction or not, I just sold him straight up for Courtland Sutton in one league. Obviously don’t expect that type of return, but it just shows how much some owners are buying into him. In redraft leagues, I’d definitely hold on to him as he’ll potentially get this kind of usage for the whole season, which would be huge for fantasy purposes. For your dynasty teams, if you’re looking to make a run this year, I’d more than likely hold on to him with all of the injuries floating around, but don’t be afraid to put him on the trading block. If you’re 0-3 and struggling to do well this year, I’d definitely be selling high.
Verdict: Sell High/Hold
Joe Mixon (RB – CIN)
One of the more disappointing players so far this year has to be Joe Mixon of the Cincinnati Bengals. Last year this offensive line was terrible, and I couldn’t imagine it would get any worse. Unfortunately, this line is still awful and Mixon has been bad despite getting a good amount of volume. Currently, he has the fifth-most carries in the NFL with 52, while he has the 22nd-most rushing yards in the NFL with 164. He’s averaging a career-worst 3.15 yards per carry and has yet to find the end zone. Mixon is currently the RB38 in PPR scoring and RB39 in standard-scoring leagues prior to the Monday Night Football game with the Chiefs and the Ravens.
If you own him on your dynasty roster, I wouldn’t be so quick to sell him. If anything, I’m using this time to buy low on him or hold him if I own him. If you own him, there’s a chance you’ve received some low-ball offers for him. Mixon is still just 24 years old and the talent has never been an issue. The Bengals offense needs some major help on the offensive line, but this is definitely a good time to buy low on Mixon.
Verdict: Buy Low/Hold
Anthony Miller (WR – CHI)
One player that I’ve been higher on than most since he came out of Memphis is Anthony Miller of the Chicago Bears. Miller did nothing in Week 2 against the Giants with zero receptions on three targets but bounced back this week against the Falcons. Miller has shown flashes during his first two seasons in the NFL but has dealt with shoulder injuries and had surgery to repair a torn labrum. After we saw Mitch Trubisky get benched, Nick Foles came in and immediately looked better and will likely start in Week 4 until further notice. Miller caught just two balls on five targets against the Falcons, but put up 41 yards and a touchdown. Miller now has two game-winning touchdowns this year after his against the Lions and again against the Falcons. Foles trusts Miller enough to throw to him with the game on the line, and I expect him to get more involved moving forward as Foles runs the offense.
In dynasty leagues, Miller is someone I’m actively trying to acquire. Allen Robinson requires the attention of the opposing defensive back’s top coverage, and Miller will run out of the slot. His role on this offense should get plenty of targets thrown his way, and he’s definitely a talented wide receiver. If I own Miller I’m holding, otherwise, I’m looking to buy low on him right now.
Verdict: Buy Low
Michael Gallup (WR – DAL)
Next up is Michael Gallup of the Dallas Cowboys, coming off a 138-yard and one-touchdown performance against the Seahawks. Gallup’s 100+ yard performance is the fifth one of his three-year career in the NFL, along with two games with 98 yards last year. His yards per target and yards per reception are both higher than they’ve ever been and he’s already got 246 receiving yards. Right now, the hype is surrounding rookie CeeDee Lamb on this offense, and rightfully so. Lamb is a future stud in the NFL and Amari Cooper is being his usual self and is the WR10 in PPR right now. Gallup is the WR23 and Lamb is the WR25 right now in PPR scoring. Needless to say, this whole offense is going to produce for fantasy purposes, but I’m using this time to buy “low” on Gallup.
It’s tough to call him a buy-low right now the way he’s been playing, but with the hype around Cooper and Lamb, there’s a bit of an opportunity right now to acquire him while the spotlight isn’t on him. Overall, I’ve been higher on Cooper throughout his entire career, and with Lamb being my top wide receiver from this 2020 class, it’s hard not to want some shares of all three of these guys. There’s no way all three of them stick around long-term, and right now Gallup is looking like the cheapest option to acquire.
Verdict: Buy “Low”
Jimmy Graham (TE – CHI)
This last one is a bit obvious in dynasty leagues, but Jimmy Graham is currently the TE7 in PPR and TE5 in standard-scoring leagues. We all know that Graham is years away from when he was a stud for fantasy purposes, but so far this year he’s been involved enough and has really looked pretty good. Graham has just 10 total receptions on the year and he’s had 25, 18, and 60 yards in his first three games. He also found the end zone in Week 1 against the Lions and scored twice this week against Atlanta.
Graham might be tough to sell high on as many owners likely aren’t buying it. However, this might be the only time you’ll have a chance to sell Graham, assuming that he’s even owned in your dynasty league. Either way, if you own Graham you should be selling him for anything you can get. Even if you are offered a future 3rd or 4th round pick, I’d sell him. Take whatever you can get and sell Graham if possible.
Verdict: Sell High
