FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 4 (2020)

FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 4 (2020)

While Week 3 turned out to be another week to just stack up the game with the highest Vegas total, Week 4 presents more of a challenge. There are seven games on Sunday’s main slate with a total over 51 points, so the stacking options are plentiful. This should help spread out rostership and allow us to just pick our favorite stacks without worrying too much about everybody being on the same games, teams, and players.

So, with that, let’s stack’em up for Week 4.

Stacking Options

Dak Prescott (QB – DAL): $8,200 / Amari Cooper (WR – DAL): $7,100
The Cowboys, yet again, are part of one of the games with the highest Vegas total on the board. Last week, Amari Cooper posted solid numbers but didn’t find the end zone, as the big plays in the Cowboys aerial attack went through Michael Gallup and (yikes!) Cedrick Wilson. Look for Dak Prescott to reconnect with Cooper playing at home, where he has averaged 7.2 receptions for 116.5 yards and 0.8 touchdowns per game. The Browns have featured a strong run defense so far this season, which should force the up-tempo Cowboys offense to the air in another potential shootout. The bring-it-back player for the Browns is a little dicey with Odell Beckham’s lack of production and health (back) concerns, but I’m willing to roll the dice with him in GPPs as long as he plays against a banged-up Cowboys secondary.

Bring it back with: Odell Beckham (WR – CLE): $6,600

Matthew Stafford (QB – DET): $7,200 / WR Kenny Golladay (WR – DET): $7,300
I expect the Lions’ stack to get overlooked this week with so many games featuring a high projected point total. However, Sunday’s matchup at home against the Saints is the perfect game environment for a big day from Matthew Stafford and the Lions’ passing attack. The Saints are stout against the run, and they have the offense to jump out to an early lead, which should force Stafford to air it out on his way to 300-plus yards and multiple scores. He got wideout Kenny Golladay back last week, who, to nobody’s surprise, led the team in receptions and yards while finding the end zone. Look for some big plays from Golladay against a Saints secondary that has allowed 15.3 yards per receptions (31st) to wide receivers this year. You might also be able to sneak T.J. Hockenson ($5,400) in to form a double stack. Not often is the bring-it-back player a running back, but Alvin Kamara is no ordinary running back with his heavy involvement in the passing game.

Bring it back with: Alvin Kamara (WR – NO): $8,800

Kenyan Drake (RB – ARI): $7,000 / Cardinals (DST – ARI): $3,800
I’m going to give Kenyan Drake one more week to show that he’s worth rostering in DFS lineups. If he doesn’t get the goal line opportunities and convert in a dream matchup this week, then he is DTM (dead to me). He’ll face a Panthers run defense that has been shredded by opposing running backs for the last year-plus, including for 115 rushing yards (26th) and a whopping 2.3 touchdowns (32nd) per game this season. He may even catch a couple passes this week, as the Panthers have given up 10.7 receptions (32nd) for 73 yards (30th) to backs. Pair him with the Cardinals defense, as they have 3.7 sacks per game and should be working with a positive game script as a favorite.

High-Priced Stud

Dalvin Cook (RB – MIN): $8,700
Early indications are that Dalvin Cook will probably have lower rostership than other high-priced stud running backs such as Alvin Kamara and Ezekiel Elliott. This surprises me, but I’ll take it for a back who is the focal point of the Vikings offense and will face a Texans run defense that has been gashed for 167 rushing yards (32nd) and 1.0 rushing touchdowns (19th) per game while allowing 5.84 YPC (29th). The game is another one of those 50-plus Vegas totals, and it should feature a neutral game script in a tight matchup, which means plenty of touches for Cook.
