Kyle Yates’ Last-Minute Week 6 Cheat Sheet (2020 Fantasy Football)

Kyle Yates’ Last-Minute Week 6 Cheat Sheet (2020 Fantasy Football)

We’re heading into a crazy week in the NFL. Are you prepared and ready to make your tough lineup decisions?

If not, don’t stress out about it. I’m here with my quick-hitting thoughts to help you get ready for your fantasy matchups heading into week six! If you’d like a little bit more in-depth studying, you can also find my weekly rankings here or my weekly fantasy projections article with projections and notes for every fantasy relevant player in the NFL here.

Here are some last-minute quick-hit items designed to help you live your best fantasy life in Week 6:

5 Players I Like More Than ECR

Cam Newton: Maybe everyone else isn’t as optimistic on Cam coming back into the lineup and picking up right where he left off, but I have Cam at QB3 for the week right now with ECR listing him at QB10.

Kareem Hunt: Hunt’s got a tough matchup in front of him this week, but he’s simply going to see too many touches in this offense. Hunt is currently at RB4 in my rankings right now, but his ECR is at RB8 on the week. It’s not a huge difference, but I believe he needs to be in your starting lineup as a top-tier option.

Myles Gaskin: Gaskin’s getting the touches and now he’s getting the goal-line work in this offense. Fire up Gaskin as a solid RB2. He’s RB16 in my rankings and his ECR is RB21.

DeVante Parker: Parker is seeing the targets, he’s the clear No. 1 option in his offense, he’s finding the end zone, and he has a matchup against the Jets. Why is Parker down at WR25 in ECR right now? I have him at WR12.

Jamison Crowder: Crowder is a rock solid WR2 moving forward. He’s simply going to see too many targets in this offense and he’s making them count for fantasy football. It doesn’t feel great, which is most likely why he’s down at WR27 in ECR right now, but I have him all the way up at WR18 on the week. Plug him into your starting lineup.

5 Players I Like Less Than ECR

Carson Wentz: Even though Wentz’s ECR is QB21, I’m still lower on him this week than that. I currently have Wentz at QB25 and I’m not going anywhere near him in this matchup.

James Robinson: Robinson’s ECR is currently RB3 on the week, which is crazy aggressive and obviously his ceiling. I still like him this week, but I have him ranked more conservatively at RB9.

Chase Edmonds: Edmonds is currently ranked at RB25 on the week, which assumes that he’s going to find the end zone on his 8-10 touches per week. I’m not as optimistic that that happens and have him down at RB31.

Marquise Brown: Brown’s all the way up at WR16 in ECR, but I’m being a little bit more pessimistic in terms of his fantasy outlook. He has a tough matchup against Darius Slay this week, which I believe limits his ceiling. I have him down at WR21 in my rankings.

Zach Ertz: Despite being the TE36 over the past two weeks and amassing only 6 total fantasy points in that time span, Ertz is currently ranked as the TE5 in ECR. I’m not going anywhere near him in this matchup against Baltimore and he’s down at TE16 in my rankings.

Desperation Pickups

Trey Burton: If you’re in desperate need of a tight end this week, Burton should be a fine fill-in option with Mo Alie-Cox out for this matchup.

Jd Mckissic: McKissic is getting enough targets out of the backfield to be a fine bye week fill-in.

Preston Williams: Rostered in only 24% of Yahoo leagues, Williams should be a fine FLEX play this week in a fantastic matchup.

Greg Ward: With Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson out for this matchup, Ward should see enough targets to be a safe floor option in Full PPR formats.

5 Receiver/Cornerback Matchups to Watch

Calvin Ridley/Mike Hughes: Ridley has been unstoppable this season and Hughes has struggled in coverage. We know Ridley’s going to get open, but the question becomes how much?

Marquise Brown/Darius Slay: Brown’s an electric athlete and can always break away one big play, but he has a tough matchup here against Slay.

Amari Cooper/Patrick Peterson: Cooper should be able to get open repeatedly against Peterson, who just simply isn’t the same player that he used to be anymore.

Davante Adams/Carlton Davis: Davis had been pretty solid against opposing wideouts up until last week and facing Allen Robinson. Will Adams have the same level of success?

Tyreek Hill/Taron Johnson: As of right now, we don’t have any clarity on whether or not Tre’Davious White is going to play in this game. If he doesn’t, Hill’s going to be put on a show against Johnson.

5 Important Things I Learned This Week

Justin Jackson has the higher ceiling out of the two backs in Los Angeles.

Brandin Cooks is actually a part of this offense and can be viewed as a WR3 moving forward.

Irv Smith Jr. could be a big part of this offense moving forward.

Mecole Hardman is in an excellent spot to return WR3 value this week with Sammy Watkins out.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a solid start every single week until he’s benched. He’s the QB6 on the season.

5 Bold Predictions For Week 6

Kenny Golladay finishes as a top-5 WR.

Keelan Cole will finish as a top-20 WR.

DJ Moore will finish outside the top-36 WRs.

Jimmy Graham will finish as a top-5 TE.

Matthew Stafford will finish as a top-3 QB.
