Top 13 NFL DFS Plays of Week 4 (2020)

Top 13 NFL DFS Plays of Week 4 (2020)

We’re happy to announce that our Daily Fantasy Accuracy Cup is back for 2020! We’re back with over 90 experts competing for the title of Most Accuracy DFS Salary Cap Expert.

Each expert submits one optimal salary cap lineup each week. Experts are ranked based on the sum of the fantasy points scored by their lineups. These contests will be run through DraftKings. You can follow our DFAC Leaderboard here.

Beyond the competition, we’re asking our top scorers each week to provide their best plays of the slate. Here’s their advice for this week.

Which stud ($6,500 or higher) are you locking into your lineups?

Alvin Kamara (RB – NO): $8,000
Look, Kamara is a clear cut stud this week. Detroit ranks 25th in aFPA (adjusted fantasy points allowed) to opposing teams running backs through the first three weeks of the season and Drew Brees is targeting him roughly 10.5 times per game so far into the season. When you couple the matchup and usage of Kamra with the 29-point implied team total the Saints have, Kamara is a cash game staple.
– Ryan Hodge (@RyanHodge)

Yes, he’s the highest-priced running back on Draft Kings this week, but I’m ready to eat the chalk. The Saints have an implied total at the moment of 29.5 points against the Lions, so plenty of points will be scored against a defense that is allowing 146 rushing yards per game to RBs. The only player on the Main Slate that has more receptions than Kamara is wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Kamara is pricey, but against the Lions who also rank 29th in run defense DVOA, there’s no way I can pass on him.

D.K. Metcalf (SEA): $6,800
Metcalf’s 17.5-yard aDOT is among the highest league-wide. That’s helped him gain 20+ yards on 5 of 12 season-long catches – plus 2 scores. (Of course, if not for a mental gaffe vs. Dallas, he’d have 3 TDs.) Even if Miami suits up a less-than 100% Byron Jones (groin), Metcalf profiles as a top-10 WR.
-Kevin English (@KEnglishDS)

I’m riding with D.K. Metcalf until the wheels fall off. I have had him in at least one of my lineups every week since his debut as a rookie. The last three weeks? He has been in every lineup. The Seahawks stack is enticing, but when going multi entry, it is always Metcalf that makes the cut. He has been sensational this season and is still assigned a salary that screams value in Week 4. Metcalf is only going to get better, as will his rapport with Russell Wilson. Third in the league with 297 receiving yards on just 12 receptions, Metcalf should be able to feast against the Dolphins, especially with Byron Jones out and Xavien Howard playing hurt.

Josh Allen (QB – BUF): $7,300 & Dak Prescott (QB – DAL): $7,200
I don’t often like paying up for quarterback, but it’s hard to get away from the group in the low $7k range. I don’t have quite enough for Russ’ cooking, but I’ll definitely have a lot of Josh Allen or Dak Prescott this week.
– Jake Ciely (@allinkid)

Russell Wilson (QB – SEA): $7,800
If you are going to spend big on a QB it has to be Wilson. Even with the possibility of him having a high ownership percentage, Wilson is a must-start. The Seahawks have almost completely flipped their offensive philosophy throwing more on first and second down to Lockett and Metcalf. Now, with Chris Carson nursing a knee injury this week against a Dolphins team that is giving up the 3rd most fantasy points to QBs, get ready for the Seahawks to #LetRussCook once again.
– Ryan Skolrud (@RyanSkolrud)

Tyreek Hill (WR – KC): $6,900
– Nick Johnson (@bigplaycoachj)

Which value play ($5,000 or lower) are you rostering?

T.J. Hockenson (TE – DET): $4,800
Hockenson ran a route on 31 of Matt Stafford’s 35 dropbacks last week. That helped him tie for a team-leading 7 targets – despite the return of Kenny Golladay. We know there’s plenty of talent in the former top-10 pick. Now comes a matchup with a Saints squad that’s allowed 4 TE scores through 3 games.
-Kevin English (@KEnglishDS)

New Orleans has struggled this season in guarding TEs, giving up the most fantasy points to the position. While Hockenson is not one of the most targeted TEs, has the 6th highest catch rate for the position at 81%. With Golladay now healthy to help draw the defense’s attention, look for Hockenson to take advantage of the Saints’ defense.
– Ryan Skolrud (@RyanSkolrud)

Darius Slayton (WR – NYG): $5,000 & N’Keal Harry (WR – NE): $4,000
Value seems a little tough to come by for running backs on this slate, but I think there are two WR’s at $5000 or below on DraftKings that warrant your consideration. Both Slayton and Harry rank inside the top 20 for weighted opportunity rating and both have averaged 7.3 targets per game to start the season. What really intrigues me about both of them though is their red zone usage. Harry has seen 6 targets in the red zone so far with 2 of those 6 coming from inside the 10 yard line. Slayton has seen fewer red zone targets with just 4 of them, but he does run more routes (9th most routes run in the league) and is playing just about 90% of his teams offensive snaps.
– Ryan Hodge (@RyanHodge)

J.K. Dobbins (RB – BAL): $4,800
Is one of the values I have plugged into my DFAC roster this week. He has only 10 carries on the season, but led the backfield in snaps in Week 3. He also led the team in receptions and receiving yards. This was not a gameflow related fluke either, as Dobbins also led the backfield in snaps in Week 1. As good as Washington’s defensive front was, they have relinquished 125 rushing yards and 1.33 rushing touchdowns per game this season. However, in Week 1 they faced an Eagles team without Miles Sanders, they surrendered 159 rushing yards per contest in Week’s 2 and 3. Dobbins should be unleashed in what should be a blowout. It has become clear that the Ravens are Freddy to hand Dibbins as big of a role as he is ready for, his performance against Washington this week, will help to determine just that.
– Raju Byfield (@FantasyContext)

Preston Williams (WR – MIA): $4,500
He’s been mostly disappointing so far, but if Preston Williams is going to bounce back and look anything similar to his solid start to 2019, it’s going to come against the Seahawks. This might be the last time we see Williams this cheap… or care about at all if he doesn’t come up big.
– Jake Ciely (@allinkid)

Cole Beasley (WR – BUF): $4,700
The popular pick will probably be Gabriel Davis or even Hunter Renfrow. For me, the choice is Cole Beasley. He’s averaging almost seven targets per game, and four of his 20 targets this season have been in the red zone. John Brown has been limited in practice and if he can’t go then that could mean a larger target share for Beasley (and Davis). It’s not the sexiest of picks, but at $4,700, and in a large GPP I’m willing to take a chance on Beasley.
– Chris Kennedy (@ChrisKennedy318)

Travis Homer (RB – SEA): $4,000
– Nick Johnson (@bigplaycoachj)
