DraftKings NFL Cash Lineup Advice: Week 12 (2020)

Below are the players I am considering as my cash game core for this week’s main slate. I value consistency of volume and opportunity combined with potential upside when putting together my cash game lineup. Have a solid process, be sure to have FantasyPros notifications set up for Sunday morning, and remember to have fun!

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes (KC): $8,000 @ TB
This game has the highest-projected total of the week (55.5 points), and Mahomes is a stud. The Chiefs’ struggling run game most likely won’t get going against these great Tampa Bay run stoppers. Mahomes has 30+ fantasy points in five of his 10 games this season. He averages 28.0 DraftKings fantasy points (DKFP).

Derek Carr (LV): $5,700 @ ATL
The Falcons are allowing the most fantasy points to the quarterback position this season (30.4) and have given up 300 passing yards in eight of their 10 games this season. The underrated Carr doesn’t have a star (other than Darren Waller at tight end), but a number of Raiders wide receivers can make plays. Although Carr also doesn’t have much of a ceiling, he has returned value in seven of his 10 games. He averages 18.4 DKFP this season.

Others Considered:

Running Backs

Dalvin Cook (MIN): $9,500 vs. CAR
Cook has gotten 66 touches in the last two weeks and has 20+ carries in six of his last seven games. His usage is incredible, and he gets a good matchup against Carolina this week. His 29.0 DKFP last week was Cook’s fifth game with 29+ fantasy points this season, which includes 51.6 DKFP in Week 8 and 42.2 DKFP in Week 9.

Nick Chubb (CLE): $7,100 @ JAC
Chubb has only played in six games this season, but he has rushed for 100 yards in four of them and leads the NFL with 6.0 yards per carry. He has also received 19+ touches four times this season. The Jaguars are allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs (26.9) this year.

Wayne Gallman (NYG): $5,000 @ CIN
It won’t feel good clicking on his name, but Gallman has been solid lately. His rushing volume has increased each of the last four weeks. Even though his 18 carries and a reception in Week 10 aren’t exactly the 20+ touches we want, it’s good enough for a 5K running back in a decent matchup. He is averaging 15.8 DKFP in his last four games.

Others Considered:

Wide Receivers

Keenan Allen (LAC): $8,000 @ BUF
It might seem like point-chasing clicking on his name this week after his 38.5 DKFP performance last Sunday. However, Allen is second in the NFL with 11.2 targets per game and has earned double-digit fantasy points in nine straight games. This includes 20+ in four of his last five. This is exactly what we want in our cash game lineups.

Justin Jefferson (MIN): $6,300 vs. CAR
Adam Thielen is currently on the Covid-19 list. In the likely event he doesn’t play, Jefferson becomes a great choice. He has put together games of 17.6 and 24.5 DKFP in the last two weeks and has two explosion games of 30+ fantasy points so far this year.

Robert Woods (LAR): $5,800 vs. SF
Woods has had performances of 28.4 DKFP and 33.6 DKFP in his last three games. Because the pricing had already come out for this week before his outburst on Monday night, he actually is $200 cheaper than last week. The Rams wideout had 14.0 DKFP in a Week 6 loss to the 49ers, but he did see 10 targets in that game.

Tyler Boyd (CIN): $5,000 vs. NYG
Boyd has earned double-digit fantasy points in eight of his 10 games this season, including three with 20+ DKFP. He’s 11th in the league with 8.7 targets per game and is averaging 16.8 DKFP. Even without Joe Burrow under center, these are good stats for a 5K cash option.

Others Considered:

Tight Ends

Darren Waller (LV): $6,000 @ ATL
If you are paying up at tight end, then Waller is the guy. Period. The Falcons are atrocious at covering this position, and Waller is second to Travis Kelce in targets (8.4) at tight end. He also has had a touchdown in four of his last six games. This looks like a perfect storm.

Hunter Henry (LAC): $4,800 @ BUF
He has seen at least six targets in eight of his 10 games this season, including three in a row. Henry has earned double-digit fantasy points in six of his 10 games this season, including each of the last two. Overall, he is averaging 10.8 DKFP on the season. Only three teams give up more fantasy points to tight ends than the Bills.

Others Considered:

Defense/Special Teams

Denver Broncos DST: $2,200 vs. NO
We don’t normally want to target the Saints’ offense, but Taysom Hill is sack prone. If the Broncos can get some pressure on the Saints, they might be able to force a turnover. The Falcons returned value last week at a near-minimum price, and the Broncos should do the same this week, especially coming off a six-sack performance.

Others Considered:

  • Los Angeles Rams DST: $3,700 vs. SF
  • New York Giants DST: $3,200 @ CIN
  • Cleveland Browns DST: $3,100 @ JAC
  • Los Angeles Chargers DST: $2,400 @ BUF
  • Las Vegas Raiders DST: $2,300 @ ATL
