FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 10 (2020)

FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 10 (2020)

It’s hard to believe that we’re already at Week 10 of the NFL season. This week feels like it could be a chalky week, where the teams and games that everyone expects to shoot out, do shoot out. So, if you are locking in stacks for some popular teams, be sure to differentiate your lineups. You can do so by using lower-rostered options from those teams, getting away from the chalk at other positions like running back, or by trying to hit on a cheap one-off home run hitter at wide receiver. Hopefully, I have hit on a few of those types of plays in this article.

So, with that, let’s stack’em up for Week 10.

Stacking Options

Russell Wilson (QB – SEA): $8,900 / Tyler Lockett (WR – SEA): $7,400
The tilt between the Seahawks and Rams should be a popular game to stack, but look for more users to be on the Rams quarterback, Jared Goff, than the Seahawks gunslinger, Russell Wilson. Wilson is coming off a “dud” against the Bills, and on paper, he appears to have a difficult matchup this week, as the Rams have allowed just 218 passing yards (second) and 1.1 touchdown passes (second) per game.

That said, look at the quarterbacks they have faced — the list includes the murderers’ row of Tua Tagovailoa, Nick Foles, Jimmy Garoppolo, Kyle Allen/Alex Smith, and Daniel Jones over the last five weeks. The Rams pass defense is solid, but it’s not as good as their numbers portray. So, fire up Wilson and one of his high ceiling wideouts with either Tyler Lockett or D.K. Metcalf. I’ll lean toward Lockett, who has a better individual matchup, according to ProFootballFocus, as he’ll be working out of the slot. Bring it back on the Rams side with Robert Woods or Cooper Kupp, as at least one of them should feast on the swiss cheese Seahawks secondary.

Bring it back with: Robert Woods (WR – LAR): $7,200

Josh Allen (QB – BUF): $8,700 / John Brown (WR – BUF): $5,600
Josh Allen got back on track last week against the aforementioned Seahawks defense, and he should be able to keep it rolling this week against the Cardinals. It’s in another great game environment, as the matchup features the highest Vegas total on the slate.

Allen should be able to do damage on the ground against the Cardinals, who have allowed at least 20 rushing yards to opposing quarterback in four of their last five games. They have played the “fleet-footed” Joe Flacco and Teddy Bridgewater over the span!

Try to get different from the field by pairing Allen with his secondary wideout, John Brown, instead of Stefon Diggs. Brown is cheap and looks healthy again after an eight-catch day for 99 yards last week. He’ll also face one of his previous clubs, so there is always the potential for a little extra revenge game juice. On the Cardinals side, also look to the secondary options to bring it back with Christian Kirk, who is significantly cheaper than DeAndre Hopkins and has lit up the scoreboard with five touchdowns over his last three games.

Bring it back with: Christian Kirk (WR – ARI): $6,300

Antonio Gibson (RB – WAS): $6,100 / Washington D/ST: $3,800
I’m not sure why this RB/DST pairing isn’t getting more love this week, but Antonio Gibson is walking into a potential smash spot for Washington against the Lions’ rush defense. They have allowed 135 yards (31st) and 1.3 touchdowns (30th) per game to running backs this season, and they rank 25th Defense-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA). Gibson had 20 carries for 128 yards and a score the last time Washington was working in a positive game script, which could be the case again this week against the Lions.

Meanwhile, the Washington defense ranks third in sacks per game, while the Lions rank in the bottom third of the league in sacks allowed. Pressure equals points for a fantasy defense.

High-Priced Stud

Aaron Jones (RB – GB): $8,800
I feel like I highlight a Packers player in the spot almost every week, but I guess that is bound to happen when you have two players with such high ceilings like Aaron Jones and Davante Adams. I expect the pendulum to swing back to Jones this week, as he is another game removed from his injury and is playing at home with his team favored by two scores.

The Packers’ offense should be able to get yards and points however they want against the Jaguars defense, including on the ground, where the Jaguars rank 21st in DVOA and have allowed the highest percent of rushing plays inside the 10-yard line this season. When the Packers get close to paydirt, they’ll punch it in on the ground, setting up Jones for a possible multi-score game.
