Monkey Knife Fight Advice: Week 10 (2020 Fantasy Football)

Welcome to Monkey Knife Fight. Monkey Knife Fight is one of the more intriguing entrants in the DFS arena. Instead of the traditional salary cap based contests, Monkey Knife Fight allows DFS players to put their fantasy football knowledge and predictive powers to the test.

They offer fantasy point and stat based contests. Perhaps the most appealing of all of their offerings is the ‘More or Less’ contests. In these contests, you can choose whether a player will fall above or below totals for a preset combination of two to 10 players. Your win probability obviously goes down with the more players you add, but you receive an increased payout multiplier in exchange.

Since Monkey Knife Fight’s fantasy point and stat-based totals are dynamic, meaning the total, total type, and pairings change throughout the week, it is important to search for favorable and advantageous total pairings to exploit on a daily basis. Ideally, when choosing a total pairing you want to feel extremely confident on one of the totals, and feel strongly enough about the other total to proceed. This week we will take a look at some of the ‘More’ options that stood out the most for Week 10. Note that these are not locked in pairings, and may no longer be offered by the time you log in to make your picks.

Jerry Jeudy (WR – DEN): 52.5 receiving yards

On pace to break Eddie Royal’s team rookie receiving yard record, Jerry Jeudy has not received the fanfare of some of the other rookie receivers. Perhaps it is due to playing in Denver, or that he has crossed the 100 receiving yard barrier just once (last week) all season. Whatever it is, it has led us to be blessed with some amazing receiving yard lines at MonkeyKnifeFight. Case in point, fresh off a 125 receiving yard game, Jeudy was set at just 52.5 receiving yards.

Drew Lock has stepped up his play as of late and has no problems locking onto his top wideout. He has targeted Jeudy 24 times over the last two contests alone (an average of 12 targets per game). Jeudy has averaged 5.5 receptions for 99 receiving yards over his last two contests and is poised to continue his ascension in the second half of the season. Jeudy has impressively cleared 54 receiving yards in six of his eight contests this season, making this offering from MKF one of the most attractive of Week 10.

Jeudy is slated to do battle with Nevin Lawson this weekend. Lawson is starting despite having one of the worst seasons of his career. He is allowing a 65.7 completion percentage against, a career-high 8.1 yards per target, and a wholly exploitable 80 percent deserved true catch rate. Jeudy should have his way with the Raiders secondary when they decline to put bracket coverage on him, something they may not be able to do with speedster K.J. Hamler a threat to rip off chunk plays opposite him. 53 rushing yards is tremendously appealing for this matchup, so if you decide on the Las Vegas and Denver contest for Week 10 at MoneyKnifeFight, be sure to tap the ‘More’ for Jerry Jeudy.

Pick: More

Josh Jacobs (RB – LV): 75.5 rushing yards

Josh Jacobs has been terrific once again this season. He is averaging 73.5 rushing yards per game, down quite a bit from his breakout rookie season, but he has still impressed outside being locked down by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ferocious front seven for just 1.7 yards per carry. His efficiency has been waning all season due to defenses keying on the run and daring Derek Carr to beat them, but he has still been getting volume, with 20.1 rushing attempts per contest.

Jacobs has hit 76 or more rushing yards in four of his eight games this season and seems poised to do so again if the Raiders win this contest as expected. The Denver Broncos have been without one of their top defensive stoppers all season in Von Miller, and have allowed 92.1 rushing yards per game to the running back position, at a 4.03 yards per carry clip. Jacobs is one of the toughest runners in the league and should be able to soar past the 76 rushing yard mark with a neutral or positive gamescript.

Jacobs has averaged 90.4 rushing yards per game in the Raiders wins this season, and should hit at least 80 rushing yards in Week 10. Denver has a good defense, but Jacobs will get the volume to wear them down and potentially break off a big run or two. Click ‘More’ for Jacobs for Week 10 at MonkeyKnifeFight.
