FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 15 (2020)

FanDuel NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 15 (2020)

The theme for the Week 15 NFL 11-game main slate on FanDuel for Sunday is “Rookies.” Don’t look now, but the rookie invasion on the NFL is in full swing, especially at the running back position where there is a trio of underpriced options to consider. Be sure to read on to find out which one I recommend for GPPs. While rookies are stealing the headlines, it could also be a good week to respect your elders at the quarterback position with a pair of future Hall of Famers making the list. We also have a flowchart stack for a player and team that loves some home-cookin’.

So, with that, let’s stack’em up for Week 15.

Stacking Options

Tom Brady (QB – TB): $7,900 / Mike Evans (WR – TB): $7,100 / Rob Gronkowski (TE – TB): $6,300
Tom Brady has had some ups and downs in his first season with the Buccaneers, but the ups have included some GPP-winning performances, as he’s topped 31 FanDuel points on three occasions. This week could be another one of those spike weeks, as he’ll play in a dome against a Falcons defense that is strong against the run but can’t stop the pass. The Falcons have allowed 296 passing yards (31st) and 2.0 touchdown passes (25th) per game this season.

Picking which receiving option Brady will zero in on is always a challenge, but give me the guys that he trusts in the red zone, Mike Evans (18 red-zone targets and 11 touchdowns) and Rob Gronkowski (12 targets and five touchdowns). Typically, we would run it back with Calvin Ridley, especially with Julio Jones out, but I have some concerns about his matchup and price tag compared to Russell Gage, who has 32 targets over the last four weeks.

Bring it back with: Russell Gage (WR – ATL): $5,700

Kirk Cousins (QB – MIN): $7,200 / Justin Jefferson (WR – MIN): $7,600 / Irv Smith (TE – MIN): $5,400
Here is the flowchart for the Kirk Cousins and the Vikings passing game: Are they at home? Yes. Are they facing a below-average pass defense? Yes. Then fire up the Vikings’ aerial assault! In seven home games, Cousins has averaged 23.3 FanDuel points (compared to 12.9 on the road) with 286 passing yards and 2.9 touchdown passes per game. He’ll face a Bears pass defense that has allowed 281 passing yards (29th) and 2.5 touchdown passes (29th) per game on 8.2 yards per attempt (29th) over the last five weeks.

The biggest difference in the passing game at home has been rookie Justin Jefferson, who is averaging 19.3 FanDuel points at home (compared to 8.6 on the road) with 5.7 receptions for 101 yards and 1.0 touchdowns per contest in the dome sweet dome of Minnesota. You can double-stack by also using Irv Smith at tight end, as he had four catches for 63 yards and a score last week with Kyle Rudolph out, and he is expected to miss another game. Bring it back with the Bears target monster Allen Robinson, who has at least nine targets in four of his last five games.

Bring it back with: Allen Robinson (WR – CHI): $7,200

J.K. Dobbins (RB – BAL): $5,900 / Ravens DST: $4,800
Rookie running backs should be all over your radar this week, including Jonathan Taylor, Cam Akers, and JK Dobbins. Dobbins could be the forgotten one this week, but that makes him a great GPP pivot off the other two, as he will garner a lower roster percentage, and he is cheap enough to help you fit in the high-priced stud of the week below.

The Ravens are almost a two-touchdown home favorites against the Jaguars, who have allowed 148 rushing yards (32nd) and 0.8 touchdowns (20th) per game to running backs over the last five weeks on 5.13 YPC (29th). With some Ravens receivers on the COVID list and Lamar Jackson’s “cramps” potentially limiting his rushing attempts, the Ravens should rely on their backfield to move the ball all game setting up JK Dobbins (and Gus Edwards) for a heavy workload. Dobbins has scored in three-straight games and has double-digit carries in each of those outings. Pair him up with the Ravens defense against gunslinger Gardner Minshew.

High-Priced Stud

Derrick Henry (RB – TEN): $10,200
You probably don’t need me to tell you to play Derrick Henry in #DHember, but I will anyway. He has rumbled for at least 103 yards on the ground in four of his last five games and has scored six touchdowns during that stretch. The Titans are a double-digit home favorite against the Lions, who rank 31st against the run in Defense-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA), according to FootballOutsiders, and have allowed 1.2 rushing scores (30th) per game to running backs this season. Oh, and if Henry didn’t need more incentive, the Titans are fighting for a division title, and he is within striking distance of a 2,000-yard season if he can get 156 yards per game in his last three outings.
