DraftKings NFL Lineup Advice: Wild Card Weekend (Full Slate)

DraftKings NFL Lineup Advice: Wild Card Weekend (Full Slate)

After one of the craziest NFL seasons in recent memory, we’re finally down to 14 teams! That means that it’s Wild Card Weekend, and this is where the good stuff begins. We do have some lopsided spreads ahead of us, but if the regular season is any indicator, anything can happen from here on out. With that in mind, let’s get into these six games!

Quarterback of the Week

Josh Allen (BUF): $7,500 vs. IND
This sounds strange to say in the first round of the playoffs, but the quarterback pool is terrible. Allen is actually one of the only guys I trust, and that’s why he’s found himself as our top quarterback pick. We love his usage, as he attempted at least 36 passes in six of his seven games leading up to Week 17. His production was absurd in that span, too — he scored at least 21 DraftKings points in all of those games en route to a 30-point average. Indianapolis lacks the stout defense they had either in the year, as they’ve allowed 26.4 points per game over their last seven outings. Vegas agrees with our assessment, and they’re projecting the Bills for 28 points.

Cash Game Running Back

Alvin Kamara (NO) $8,500 vs. CHI
This one comes with a bit of risk due to COVID, but it sounds like Kamara will be ready to go here. If he is, he’s easily the best running back option on the board. We say that because Derrick Henry, David Montgomery, and Nick Chubb all have horrific matchups, while Jonathan Taylor enters his game as a monster underdog. That gives us Kamara in a solid matchup and as a 9.5-point favorite. That’s a great situation for the highest-scoring running back on this slate to succeed, especially with him scoring at least 18 DK points in four-straight games, averaging over 29 fantasy points per game in that span.

GPP Running Back

J.D. McKissic (WAS) $4,900 vs. TB
Many people will be scared of this matchup due to Tampa’s top run defense, but that doesn’t really affect a guy like McKissic. On the contrary, it should give him even more opportunities to catch the ball out of the backfield. That’s huge with J.D. establishing himself as one of the best receiving backs in the NFL, and he’s gotten at least six targets in nine of his last 13 games, averaging 5.8 catches per game in that span. There are only a handful of wide receivers who provide that many catches, and he’ll surely be needed with Washington entering this matchup as a massive underdog.

Cash Game Wide Receiver

Stefon Diggs (BUF) $7,700 vs. IND
If we’re going to ride Allen as our go-to quarterback, we have to ride his top wide receiver. He’s not just the Bills’ top wideout, though, he’s also leading the NFL with 127 receptions for 1,535 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. That’s an absurd total, and he did a lot of that damage recently. Before sitting out the second half of Week 17, Diggs had at least 29 DraftKings points in each of his previous three games. That’s hard to overlook no matter the price, and we already explained that the Colts’ defense is struggling right now. If you’re riding Allen, don’t forget to use Diggs.

GPP Wide Receiver of the Week

Robert Woods (LAR) $6,200 at SEA
It’s hard to tell who’s going to suit up for the Rams here, but we do know that Woods will be ready to go. The main reason we want to use him this week is the matchup with the Seahawks. We say that because Seattle owns a 28th OPRK against opposing wide receivers this season while surrendering the second-most passing yards in the NFL. That automatically makes this passing game one of the most intriguing options out there, especially with the Rams entering this matchup as an underdog. Woods has definitely established himself as their best wideout too, recording 90 catches for 936 yards and eight touchdowns en route to a 16-point average on DraftKings. That makes him a solid value at just $6,200.

Tight End of the Week

Jared Cook (NO) $4,600 vs. CHI
We went with Cook last week, and we’re going right back to the well this time out. The simple fact is that he’s one of the focal points of this passing game with Michael Thomas banged-up. That’s certainly evident when you see that he has at least 11 DraftKings points in four of his last five games. That alone is a big number from a tight end, let alone one who’s below $5,000. We happen to love this matchup too, with Chicago owning a 30th OPRK against opposing tight ends this season.

D/ST of the Week

New Orleans Saints D/ST $3,800 vs. CHI
First off, how the heck are the Chicago Bears in the playoffs? They were undoubtedly one of the worst teams I watched throughout the year, but they magically ended up here. Somehow. In any case, it gives us one last chance to use a D/ST against them. We’re talking about an offense that finished 26th in total yardage on the season and rode their running game into the postseason. Unfortunately, that running game won’t work against the Saints, as they’re ranked fourth in both rushing yards surrendered and yards per carry allowed. Just ride this 10-point favorite as your D/ST because the Saints should roll into the next round.
