As we see the NFL move further and further away from the days of the “workhorse” running back, the need for multiple options on the depth chart is becoming increasingly more important. The ability to rotate in players with different skillsets can keep them fresh and simultaneously keep defenses on their toes.
There’s arguably no better value in all of football than a running back on their rookie contract. The production that NFL GMs can find with mid-round players is significantly more than what they’re paying them on the rookie wage scale. This is how they set the team up for success in the long run.
There are plenty of landing spots across the league that are going to provide these incoming rookies with fantasy football value immediately. While the top of the class has some very talented options to it, it’s certainly not as deep as some previous drafts. Who are the incoming rookies that can make an impact in the NFL though? What exactly do they bring to the table?
