In the last few installments of this series that I personally wrote, I joked about the main slates kindly featuring a top, unquestioned ace on a given day like Jacob deGrom or Gerrit Cole. “Joked,” because it made my life easy. There was no way around plugging one of those pitchers in as the SP1 in DraftKings and searching only for someone with whom the ace could be paired.
This time, we have no such unquestioned ace. At least, not a standalone one.
We also have a 13-game slate with plenty of hitters to consider, as four different teams are averaging at least five runs per game.
