The punch-out potential elevates both Eovaldi’s floor and ceiling.

Today’s main slate is a matinee affair, starting at 1:05 PM ET. It features eight games, and a few aces get the ball. I’m interested in one of the aces in GPPs. However, my preference is to double up on the middle tier while loading up on top-flight hitters.

Thursday’s Starting Pitcher Strategy

As I stated in the intro, I’m leaning toward doubling up on the middle-tier hurlers. Gerrit Cole’s¬†upside is undeniable, though, making him a compelling GPP option.

Cash Game Recommendations:

Nathan Eovaldi (BOS) vs. DET
Eovaldi’s tenure with the Red Sox got off to a rough start in 2019, but he’s been excellent since 2020. According to FanGraphs, in 15 starts spanning 83.0 innings since last year, he has a 3.69 ERA, 3.54 SIERA, 4.1 BB%, and 24.6 K%.
