NFL DFS GPP Lineup Advice: Week 2 (Full Slate) PREMIUM
Week 1 was one of the rare times when the Thursday night game actually offered value for our GPP lineups. That strategy worked out well if you used pieces of Dallas’ or Tampa Bay’s passing attacks. While the same cannot be said for the Week 2 matchup on Thursday night between the Giants and Washington, we can look to island games on Sunday and Monday night for some players to consider in full-slate GPP contests.
This week also features a lot of potentially high-scoring affairs. We have a total of six games with Vegas totals set at 50 points or higher, and five of those matchups feature a favorite of just five points or fewer. Let’s see which teams and players are in good spots to produce GPP winning production.
The players below are ones I’m looking at for large-field tournament considerations for Week 2 full slates:
Aaron Rodgers (GB): $6,600 vs. DET
Woof! Last week’s performance by Rodgers and the Packers was hard to watch. However, Green Bay couldn’t ask for a better bounce-back spot — they’ll play at home against the Lions defense that surrendered 41 points in Week 1.
The Lions allowed 12.3 yards per attempt last week and gave up a league-high 8.6 last year. Rodgers has thrown at least two touchdown passes in 10 straight meetings with the Lions when he started and finished the game. There should be plenty of opportunities in the passing game for Rodgers to exploit at home on Monday night.
