NFL GPP Lineup Advice: Week 1 (Full Slate) PREMIUM
The 2021 NFL season is upon us. Everyone rejoice! This weekly DFS article will focus on Guaranteed Prize Pool (GPP) recommendations for the full NFL slate, including all of the primetime matchups. It will include some stacking opportunities and one-off plays to consider for your GPP lineups.
Week 1 features five games with a Vegas total of 50 or more points, which gives us a wide range of strong stacking options. The opening week also typically provides some inefficiencies in pricing on DFS sites to exploit. Without any further ado, let’s get to the GPP tournament options for Week 1.
The players below are ones I’m looking at for large-field tournament considerations for Week 1 full slates:
Ryan Tannehill (TEN): $6,500 vs. ARI
The Titans/Cardinals matchup is one of those games with a total above 50. It also features a close point spread, with the Titans favored at home by just a field goal. Early projected roster percentages show Arizona’s offense getting a lot more love in the matchup than the Titans, which makes it a perfect time to pivot to the Titans’ passing game.
Last season, Tannehill had six games with 25 or more DraftKings points, and five of those spike games came home. Tannehill also got an extra big-time weapon during the offseason with the acquisition of Julio Jones, which could take an already-efficient Titans passing game to another level.
