5 Players I Like More Than ECR

Darrel Williams: Williams came through in a big way last week and the matchup here is too juicy to not view him as a top-tier option. Points are going to fly up on the board in this one and the scoring opportunities are going to be plentiful for the RB. He’s RB10 in ECR and RB7 in my rankings.

Sony Michel: It’s a sneaky play, but the likelihood that this Rams & Lions game turns into a blowout win for the Rams is high. This means that we could see the Rams turn to their run game in the second half and Michel could easily see 10+ carries in garbage time. There’s some risk involved to it because he’s not going to see the field unless the Rams are up big, but it could pay off. He’s RB38 in ECR and RB32 in my rankings.

Michael Pittman: The likelihood that Ty Hilton actually plays this week is looking more and more slim by the minute and we now know that Parris Campbell is potentially out for the season after undergoing surgery. Carson Wentz is going to have to throw the ball more than 20 times this week and Pittman’s going to be his main target. He’s WR23 in ECR and WR19 in my rankings.

Darnell Mooney: I understand that the Bears’ offense has been disappointing, but the Bears are simply not going to be able to run the ball this week and that means a lot more volume for the WRs. Mooney’s WR27 in ECR and WR23 in my rankings.

Ross Dwelley: When other options include Robert Tonyan, Mo Alie-Cox, etc. I want the guys in my lineup who I know are going to see targets. Dwelley might not have the talent level as many of the other players in his range of ECR, but I feel very comfortable with his role in this 49ers offense. He’s TE13 in my rankings and TE18 in ECR.

5 Players I Like Less Than ECR

Chase Edmonds: The matchup is incredible for Edmonds and there’s the possibility that he actually finds the end zone here in this one. However, the touchdowns are likely heading James Conner‘s way and we might see Edmonds phased out of the game in favor of Conner if Arizona goes up big. He’s RB16 in ECR and RB19 in my rankings.

Jamaal Williams: Williams simply doesn’t have enough guaranteed volume for me to be comfortable starting him. He’s RB30 in ECR and RB34 in my rankings.

Sterling Shepard: Shepard’s currently at WR20 in ECR at the time of writing, but he’s also currently hampered by injury and this offense could be downright atrocious this week against Carolina. He’s WR26 in my rankings.

Tyler Lockett: Locket’s upside was zapped when Russell Wilson exited the lineup and there’s no reason to believe that’s going to change any time soon. Lockett’s WR22 in ECR and WR28 in my rankings.

Robert Tonyan: What have we seen from Tonyan this year to indicate that he should be TE15 in ECR? Even with the bye weeks and injuries, we can’t trust him in our starting lineups. He’s TE19 in my rankings.

Desperation Pickups

Rashod Bateman: If you need a FLEX play this week, plus someone that has long-term value, look Bateman’s way.

Rhamondre Stevenson: With Brandon Bolden potentially out this week, we could see Stevenson take on a larger workload and he’s only 21% rostered right now.

Ross Dwelley: As mentioned earlier, he’s TE13 in my rankings and he’s only 1% rostered.

Ty’Son Williams: If you simply have no other available options on your waiver wire, there’s the possibility that Williams sees more work this week with Latavius Murray out.

5 Receiver/Cornerback Matchups to Watch

Chris Godwin/Xavier Crawford: Godwin’s expected to see one of the best matchups on the field this week against Crawford.

DeAndre Hopkins/Desmond King: Hopkins isn’t going to let a talented corner like King stand in his way of getting his revenge against the Houston Texans.

Cooper Kupp/AJ Parker: Kupp’s going for 200 & 3 TDs, isn’t he?

Ja’Marr Chase/Anthony Averett: Averett’s been solid this year, but Chase is going to give him a run for his money this week.

Tyreek Hill/Elijah Molden: Molden’s been solid so far this season, but he’s not going to stand a chance of slowing down Hill.
