See Which Cards I Scored on Ultimate Fan: Wild Card Round

Think Ultimate team/MyTeam meets NFT pack drops meets fantasy football. Interest piqued? UtimateFan may have the game for you.

UltimateFan has created a unique fantasy offering where fantasy managers open packs to determine their squad and build a lineup. When you sign up, you will get a free pack that will include at least one gold card and will give you enough positional variety to fill out a team for your first week of action. To add more players to your team, there are a few options. The standard pack, available free of charge, can be opened once a week on Tuesdays. The silver packs guarantee you at least two silver cards and one gold. The gold packs guarantee two gold and one silver. The packs are not for sale like with Ultimate team or MyTeam but can be had via subscription. The silver package will grant you one silver pack drop per week for a month, while the gold package will grant one gold pack per week.

Ultimate Fan has a special going on right now that provides all users a free weekly gold pack throughout the playoffs. Take advantage of this and see if you can net yourself a gift card or two before the second season wraps up.

UltimateFan’s settings are as follows: touchdowns worth four points for QB’s and six for all other positions. It is full-point PPR with bonus points. Quarterbacks get one point at 200+ yards, two points at 300+ yards, and three points at 350+. On the ground, one point is awarded for 40+ yards, one point for 70+, and three for 100+. Through the air, there is one point for 50+ and one point for 100+. Interceptions and fumbles lost cost one point.

For the team cards, you get five points for a win and -1 for a loss. One point for field goals between 40-49 points, and two for 50+. Furthermore, one point is awarded per sack and two per interception. A special teams touchdown nets you six points. And for the D/ST-like scoring, you get eight points for a shutout, two points for allowing 1-13 points, zero for 14-28, and -3 for 28+. This scoring makes your lineup decision at that spot a critical piece of your weekly lineup decisions. The roster spots are QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, Team.

Wildcard Round Pack Results

The Wildcard round is going to present unique roster-building challenges for most Ultimate Fan players, so we are lucky that everyone is getting free gold packs. This week I had some really solid pulls. In my standard pack, I pulled Hunter Renfrow, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Stanley Morgan. In my gold pack, I pulled Miles Sanders, Derek Carr, and Robert Woods. And if landing four players on playoff rosters wasn’t enough, I pulled Kyler Murray from my Clash gold pack. With some major roster losses due to the playoffs, this was a sensational week for new additions to my roster.

The players I transferred in are Miles Sanders, Kyler Murray, Hunter Renfrow, Derek Carr, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. The players I transferred out were a Russel Wilson dupe, a Michael Pittman dupe, a Green Bay Packers dupe, Chuba Hubbard, and Washington defense.

Wildcard Round Team-Building Decisions

QB: Justin Herbert, Kyler Murray, Russell Wilson, Kirk Cousins, Mac Jones, Derek Carr

RB: Jonathan Taylor, Austin Ekeler, Nick Chubb, Alvin Kamara, Ezekiel Elliott, Leonard Fournette, Kareem Hunt, Chase Edmonds, Tony Pollard, Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Miles Sanders

WR: Cooper Kupp, Justin Jefferson, Michael Pittman, CeeDee Lamb, Antonio Brown, A.J. Brown, Julio Jones, Tyler Lockett, DeVonta Smith, Brandin Cooks, Marvin Jones, Laviska Shenault, Jarvis Landry, Kenny Golladay, Emmanuel Sanders, Robby Anderson, Will Fuller, Hunter Renfrow, Robert Woods, JuJu Smith-Schuster

TE: Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, Dawson Knox, Mike Gesicki, Dalton Schultz

Team: Chargers, Ravens, Packers, Broncos, Titans

At quarterback, I will be rolling with Kyler Murray for the Wild card round. He is my only quarterback eligible due to Mac and Carr playing on Saturday. Things could get interesting next week if none of my teams advance, as I may be left without a QB. Here’s hoping for the best.

At tight end, my debate is between Travis Kelce and Dalton Schultz. Travis Kelce will always win this debate and is a no-brainer start for the Wild card round. At running back, I have just five backs to choose from in Fournette, Sanders, Edmonds, Zeke, and Pollard. The current plan is to start Fournette and Zeke. Fournette may get swapped with Sanders, but I am not thrilled about the matchup against the Bucs. As long as we do not hear anything about Playoff Lenny being on a pitch count, he will remain in the lineup.

At wide receiver, Cooper Kupp remains locked into my lineup due to the good fortune of him not taking part in a Saturday game. Hunter Renfrow and Emmanuel Sanders are both ineligible due to playing on Saturday. This leaves me to decide between frontrunner CeeDee Lamb, Devonta Smith, and JuJu Smith-Schuster. JuJu is not much of a consideration as he may be on a pitch count and has not played since Week 5. Devonta Smith against the Buccaneers secondary has some high upside appeal, but it is hard to trust Jalen Hurts’ ability to get him the ball on a run-heavy team and against a defense that will likely be scheming to contain Smith. It will be Kupp and CeeDee for me at wide receiver this week.

At team, I have just two teams in the playoffs, and both have the first round bye. While this should give me a big boost next week, it leaves a hole in my lineup for this week. With that said, I did get negative points from the Packers last week, so this will be an upgrade.

Now for the golden helmet and the golden football. The golden football doubles the points of anyone who scores a touchdown. I will be placing it on Kyler Murray. Kupp gets the helmet, and Murray remains the player most likely to score multiple touchdowns.  The golden helmet doubles the points of any player it is assigned to. The helmet will be going to Cooper Kupp. Kupp is a no-brainer due to Jonathan Taylor and Austin Ekeler no longer being in the weekly mix. It will be Kupp or bust until the Rams are eliminated or make the Super Bowl.
