Injuries
We saw two closers in the AL East land on the injured list in Aroldis Chapman (RP – NYY) and Andrew Kittredge (RP – TB). In New York, Clay Holmes (RP – NYY) appears to be the clear closer out of the Yankees’ bullpen with five saves on the season. The situation in the Rays’ bullpen is a little shakier. Colin Poche (RP – TB) earned the save last Wednesday with J.P. Feyereisen (RP -TB) pitching in the eighth inning.
Anthony Bender (RP – MIA), the Marlins’ opening day closer, was also placed on the injured list. It appears to be a committee between Cole Sulser (RP – MIA) and Dylan Floro (RP – MIA) in Miami with a few opportunities for both of them.
Other notes
After Ryan Pressly was one of the bigger fallers last week due to lack of opportunity, I moved him back up quite a bit after he saw and converted three saves in the past week.
