Let’s take a look at the latest injury news and notes around fantasy baseball.

Fantasy Impact: Heaney has been progressing slowly in his rehab for left shoulder soreness but has been increasing his pitch count during bullpen sessions recently. He has not been cleared to face live batters just yet but could make his first appearance at Camelback Ranch on Sunday. Prior to hitting the injured list on April 20, Heaney had a nice start to the season, tossing 10 scoreless innings with 16 strikeouts in two starts.
Casey Mize close to beginning throwing program

Fantasy Impact: Mize (elbow) has been missing from the Tigers rotation since April 14. He struggled mightily in a short start for Triple-A Toledo back on May 12 which led the club to slow down his rehab process. Now, the young righty appears to be progressing once again. A potential timetable for Mize’s return to the bigs should become more clear once he is able to begin throwing.
Ronald Acuna Jr. to remain out of lineup on Friday

Fantasy Impact: Acuna has been diagnosed with a grade 1 strain of his right quad and will miss his third straight game due to the injury. Fantasy managers will need to hold steady for good news in the next few days and hope that he avoids a trip to the injured list. In his limited at-bats this season, Acuna is hitting a great .292 with two home runs, eight RBI and eight steals in 17 games.
