Andrew Benintendi (calf) leaves game Sunday, not expected to miss time
Andrew Benintendi left Sunday’s game with calf tightness but is like to play Monday when the Blue Jays come to town as reported by The Athletic’s Alec Lewis. (Source: Alec Lewis on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Benintendi fouled a ball off his calf in the 6th inning but remained in until the 8th before leaving due to tightness. He is expected to be available Monday but will be reevaluated when he arrives at Kaufman Stadium. Benny leads the team by a mile with his .321 average and has been the subject of trade rumors as the Royals flounder at 17-35 as the worst team in baseball so it appears the left fielder might not be long for the Royals.

Clayton Kershaw with strong rehab start; next outing will be with Dodgers
Clayton Kershaw had a strong rehab start on Sunday with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over four innings while striking out six. According to Dave Roberts, Kershaw’s next start will be with the Dodgers. (Source: Jack Harris on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Kershaw went an inning longer than planned in his rehab start, and his success surely convinced Roberts and the Dodgers’ front office that he was ready to return from his rehab assignment. The most likely return date for Kershaw will be Sunday against the Giants, and given that he threw just 59 pitches in his rehab start, he’s almost certain to be capped at around 75 pitches in that start. The prudent course of action is to keep Kershaw on your bench for one more week, and then activate him once he gets through his start against the Giants and builds his pitch count up a bit.

Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) still building up leg strength
White Sox manager Tony La Russa said Sunday that the team is waiting for Eloy Jimenez to build up leg strength before he joins the club again. (Source: Daryl Van Schouwen in Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: La Russa told reporters that he exchanged texts with Jimenez Sunday morning. He is 4-for-13 in four rehab games with Triple-A Charlotte. “They don’t feel his legs are ready yet,” La Russa said.
