Whether you are playing best ball or preparing for your redraft fantasy football draft, it’s important to keep an eye on fantasy football rankings and average draft position (ADP) throughout the summer. Gaining early insights helps you prepare and take advantage of those managers that start their prep the day before your draft. Andrew Erickson is here to help. He’s here to shed light on why Kirk Cousins is currently the most underrated quarterback in fantasy football.
- Kyler Murray and Kirk Cousins had the same top-6 finishes last season; the only difference is that Murray’s elite performances provided three top-three finishes, and Cousins had zero “boom” games.
- Cousins had more top-6 finishes (4) than Burrow, Jackson, and Derek Carr.
Kirk Cousins 2022 Fantasy Football Outlook
Kirk Cousins is the ugly duckling fantasy quarterback who found his way inside the top 12 producers (QB11, QB12) in back-to-back seasons. Cousins did so last season by directing a surprisingly up-tempo and more pass-heavy Vikings offense. Last year Minnesota was eighth and 12th in neutral pace and passing rate. With Kevin O’Connell (formerly with the Rams) at the controls this season, the passing rate should continue to be healthy (LAR, seventh).
