Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said WR Diontae Johnson is working through a hip flexor. (Source: Brooke Pryor on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Johnson was not able to finish practice on Monday. He should be considered as day-to-day for now, but the injury does not sound serious as of now.
Chargers coach Brandon Staley confirmed Donald Parham Jr. suffered a hamstring injury during practice Friday and that he “should be out, for sure, this week.” (Source: LA Times on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Parham had reportedly been one of the biggest standouts in Chargers camp early on and hamstring injuries are never ideal. This should lead to a bigger opportunity for Gerald Everett to see more key reps with the Chargers offense while Parham is sidelined.
KJ Hamler was receiving full-speed reps with the 1st team today in training camp today. (Source: Mike Klis)
Fantasy Impact: Hamler will have a chance to have a big role in the Broncos’ offense after Tim Patrick suffered a season-ending injury in practice last week. Hamler showed flashes as a rookie in 2020 but only appeared in three games a season ago. The now third-year Penn St. product has elite speed and could be a solid number three option at WR in a Russell Wilson-led offense in Denver. Consider him a depth piece in most formats.
J.K. Dobbins was activated off the PUP list and is “on track to be ready” for the regular season. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Dobbins suffered a torn ACL during the preseason last year and has been working his way back from that injury since that time. He has been adamant that he will be ready for Week 1, and this latest move by the Ravens gives an indication he may have been right. Fantasy managers should feel a lot more confident about drafting Dobbins around his ADP with this latest development, and the third-year RB should have the lead role in one of the league’s best rushing offenses.
