Tony Pollard anticipating more playing time this season

Fantasy Impact: Pollard has shown some very explosive flashes in his limited opportunities over the past few seasons, and he may finally get more opportunity with the team. It’s been rumored that he may get more work as a receiver this year, and he will also likely get a good amount of carries behind Ezekiel Elliot. He could end up being a good value pick in fantasy if he does actually see an increase in his workload.

Miles Sanders receives backing from Nick Sirianni

Nick Sirianni backed Miles Sanders in the wake of reports that he was getting reps with the second team, saying that Sanders is “our guy.” (Source: The Athletic)

Fantasy Impact: Sirianni described the Eagles’ practices as having a pure random rotation between Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell, and Boston Scott, and stressed that there was nothing to read into it. With that said, although Sanders will almost certainly be the lead back, Sirianni’s history, as well as beat writer speculation, suggest that Gainwell should have a role in the offense. Sanders is currently the 28th RB off the board in 0.5 PPR consensus ADP, and that should leave plenty of room for profit even if he still has to cede some touches to Gainwell and Scott.

Travis Etienne Jr. ‘continues to shine’ in Jaguars camp

Travis Etienne Jr. has been impressive all offseason and “looks like the most dangerous potential weapon the Jaguars have on offseason.” (Source: John Shipley)

Fantasy Impact: Etienne suffered a foot injury last preseason that forced him to miss the entirety of the 2021 season. With James Robinson suffering a torn ACL late last season, a big role is projected for Trevor Lawrence’s former college teammate at Clemson. Etienne will look to deliver on lofty expectations in his first year as a pro. Drafting Etienne as a low-end RB2 offers serious upside, with a huge boost in any dynasty formats.

Isiah Pacheco getting reps with first team

Fantasy Impact: There is no sure-fire RB1 in Kansas City, and it seems like Isiah Pacheco is doing all he can to get himself on the field. The seventh round pick ran a 4.37 second 40-yard dash at this year’s NFL Scouting Combine and has the ability to be a solid receiver out of the backfield, making him a versatile chess piece that Andy Reid can move all around the field. Pacheco is not on any fantasy manager’s radar at the moment, and still probably shouldn’t be at this point in time, but he could be a player to monitor from a distance as training camp and the preseason progress.
