Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Justin Herbert to be a game-time decision Week 3

Justin Herbert, listed as questionable due to a rib injury, will be a game-time decision for the team’s Week 3 matchup against the Jaguars in Los Angeles. (Source: Jeremy Fowler on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The main problem here for fantasy managers is that Jaguars-Chargers is a late kickoff, and many won’t be able to wait that long before making a decision on whether or not to start Herbert. If Herbert is unable to go, Chase Daniel will start for the Chargers.

Jerry Jeudy (rib, shoulder) on track to play Week 3

Jerry Jeudy, listed as questionable for Sunday night due to a rib and shoulder injury, is on track to play vs. 49ers but wants to see how it feels in pre-game warmups, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Jeudy missed practice earlier in the week but was able to get out on the field on Friday. The tricky part here is that the Broncos play on Sunday night, which could put fantasy managers in a tough spot if we don’t hear more concrete news ahead of the 1 p.m. ET kickoffs. Monitor his status for updates and have a backup plan, even though it sounds like he is expected to play. If Jeudy is out or limited Week 3, Courtland Sutton and TE Albert Okwuegbunam could see additional targets and K.J. Hamler could play a larger role, though he is also listed as questionable.

James Conner (ankle) on track to play Week 3 but will be game-time decision

James Conner, listed as questionable for Sunday due to an ankle injury, will test it pre-game but is tracking to play vs. the Rams, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Cardinals have a late kickoff on Sunday, so this puts fantasy managers in a bind. If Conner is unable to go, Darrel Williams and Eno Benjamin figure to share backfield snaps and touches for the Cardinals in their Week 3 matchup against the Rams.

Alvin Kamara (rib) expected to play Week 3

Alvin Kamara, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a rib injury, is expected to play vs. the Panthers, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Kamara received just nine carries in Week 1 and missed Week 2 against the Buccaneers, but it appears he is ready to return in Week 3 against the Panthers. Monitor his status ahead of Sunday’s early kickoffs in case there are updates about his potential workload after missing last week.
