Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Zach Ertz (calf) ‘to be close’ for Week 1
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Wednesday that Zach Ertz “will be close” in regards to his availability for Week 1. (Source: Tyler Drake on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Ertz has been sidelined since the first week of August due to a calf injury with little talk about his status since then. It is likely he will be listed as questionable on the injury report next week. Fantasy managers with Ertz as their starter may want to have an insurance plan just in case for the opening week.
Kadarius Toney’s knee injury improving
Head coach Brian Daboll stated Wednesday that Kadarius Toney’s knee injury is “improving.” The team is hopeful he will be ready for Week 1. (Source: Dan Salomone on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Toney registered 420 yards on 39 receptions in 10 games last season. The 23-year-old has been ramped up in practice and is hopefully a go in Week 1. Toney currently ranks WR46 in ECR, according to FantasyPros.
Rondale Moore (undisclosed) ‘to be close’ for Week 1
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters Wednesday Rondale Moore “will be close” for Week 1. (Source: Tyler Drake on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Moore will likely be listed as questionable on the injury report next week. He figures to have an expanded role this season, especially early in the season while DeAndre Hopkins is suspended.
Miles Sanders still not practicing
Miles Sanders is still being held out of practice. He has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since August 14th. (Source: Zack Berman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Definitely not good news for the Eagles or anyone with Sanders on their roster. Hamstring injuries can linger throughout the season so it is possible Sanders is bothered by this throughout the year. Sanders currently ranks at RB29 at ECR, according to FantasyPros.
