The wide receiver room in Tampa Bay has been through quite the ride over the last few weeks. It started with Chris Godwin making a speedy recovery from a torn ACL, being ready to go for Week 1 and then injuring his hamstring in the season opener. This week, it seems as though every wide receiver in this Tom Brady-led offense has found their way onto the injury report, including Mike Evans with a calf injury. There’s no doubt that Evans is a rock solid WR1 play when he’s on the field as the No. 1 option in this offense, but will he be good to go for Week 2 against the Saints? What the experts are saying
Evans found the end zone in Week 1 and finished with 16 fantasy points. He should be a solid WR1 against a Saints D that was 8th against fantasy wide receivers, but also had an easier matchup against the Falcons.
-Derek Lofland
With Godwin sidelined for foreseeable, Evans (26% tgt share) is bound for monster weekly outputs.
