Will Mike Evans Play in Week 2? (2022 Fantasy Football)

The wide receiver room in Tampa Bay has been through quite the ride over the last few weeks. It started with Chris Godwin making a speedy recovery from a torn ACL, being ready to go for Week 1 and then injuring his hamstring in the season opener. This week, it seems as though every wide receiver in this Tom Brady-led offense has found their way onto the injury report, including Mike Evans with a calf injury. There’s no doubt that Evans is a rock solid WR1 play when he’s on the field as the No. 1 option in this offense, but will he be good to go for Week 2 against the Saints? Here’s the latest that we know.

What the experts are saying

Evans found the end zone in Week 1 and finished with 16 fantasy points. He should be a solid WR1 against a Saints D that was 8th against fantasy wide receivers, but also had an easier matchup against the Falcons.

-Derek Lofland

With Godwin sidelined for foreseeable, Evans (26% tgt share) is bound for monster weekly outputs.
