Fantasy Football Injury Updates

D’Andre Swift (shoulder) ruled out for Week 4

Fantasy Impact: Swift has missed practice all week after suffering a sprained shoulder in the Lions’ loss to the Vikings in Week 3. He was considered day-to-day but clearly needs some recovery time for his sprained shoulder. Fantasy managers should expect to see Jamaal Williams draw the start Sunday, with Craig Reynolds and Justin Jackson mixing into the rotation. Williams is a a high-end RB2 with potential RB1 upside.

Fantasy Impact: St. Brown did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and has now been ruled out with an ankle injury. The Lions have other injuries at wide receiver, with DJ Chark and Josh Reynolds listed as questionable. Fantasy managers should expect the Lions to rotate in any healthy wide receiving options that suit up in Week 4.

Fantasy Impact: McCaffrey missed practice Wednesday and Thursday after suffering a quad injury in Week 3 against New Orleans. We should find out soon if he was able to log any practice time Friday, but he will go into Week 4 listed as questionable. If McCaffrey cannot play, fantasy managers should expect to see Chuba Hubbard and D’Onta Foreman man the Carolina backfield in Week 4.

Jameis Winston doubtful to play Sunday against Minnesota

Fantasy Impact: Head coach Dennis Allen stated earlier in the week that Winston was taking a rest day and that his back injury should not impact his availability. Now, after missing three straight practices the Saints are likely going to have to turn to veteran Andy Dalton to make the start Sunday in London. Fantasy managers will want to keep an eye on how much time Winston will miss with this back injury, or if it will be limited to just one game.
