Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Russell Wilson (shoulder) should have no limitations Thursday

Russell Wilson (shoulder) said Tuesday that he is “super confident” that he will be able to play “with no limitations” Thursday. (Source: Nick Kosmider on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Wilson has been limited in practice multiple times this week due to a sore shoulder. Still, he seems to be ready to go and shouldn’t see his performance take a hit due to the injury. Wilson has 980 yards and 4 TDs through 4 weeks.

Shaquille Leonard dealing with a broken nose

Shaquille Leonard was ruled out during Sunday’s loss to the Titans with a concussion. Frank Reich confirmed Tuesday that Leonard also suffered a broken nose on the same play. (Source: Zak Keefer on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: The team is currently waiting for the swelling to go down from the broken nose to determine how long that will keep Leonard out of the lineup. The star linebacker is also dealing with a concussion and currently does not have a timetable to return from both injuries. Fantasy managers should downgrade the Colts’ D/ST moving forward until they are able to get Leonard back.

Jonathan Taylor: Colts have not decided if he will be able to play

The Colts have yet to determine if Jonathan Taylor will be able to play Thursday against Denver. Head coach Frank Reich stated the team is hopeful and they do not believe it will get worse if he plays on it. (Source: Zak Keefer on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Taylor suffered an ankle injury in the Colts’ loss to the Titans in Week 4. He had his ankle taped up after the game but all tests on the ankle came back negative Monday. Fantasy managers are likely taking a big risk playing Taylor in Week 5, who could see a reduced workload even if he is active.

Dak Prescott ‘not well enough to play’ in Week 5

Dak Prescott is “not well enough to play” against the Rams in Week 5, per Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones. (Source: Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Prescott reportedly was still having trouble gripping a football, so this move is not a surprise. Luckily for the Cowboys, backup Cooper Rush is undefeated in Prescott’s absence and will draw the start against the Rams in Week 5. Prescott will continue to rehab and look to be back for a Week 6 matchup with Philadelphia.
