Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Top Pickups for Week 12

Darrell Henderson (JAC): 47% rostered

  • Next opponents: @DET, @TEN, DAL
  • True value: $12
  • Desperate need: $20
  • Budget-minded: $5

Analysis: Here we go again. Henderson was thrust into increased action earlier this season when Cam Akers fell out of favor with the coaching staff in Los Angeles. Don’t go running into this with the full force of your FAAB. According to early reports, Travis Etienne‘s foot injury is minor. JaMycal Hasty is still the team’s preferred third-down RB, and Henderson has only been with the team since last Wednesday. But Henderson is sure to get a decent share of the work on early downs should Etienne miss any time. Two of Jacksonville’s next three opponents have struggled to stop the run this season.

Donovan Peoples-Jones (CLE): 50% rostered

  • Next opponents: @HOU, @CIN, BAL
  • True value: $5
  • Desperate need: $9
  • Budget-minded: $3

Analysis: Yes, Peoples-Jones took a backseat to Amari Cooper and David Njoku on Sunday, drawing only four targets, but don’t let that sway your focus from his previous consistency. Entering Week 12, Peoples-Jones had a 20% target share and averaged 72.5 receiving yards since Week 4. Deshaun Watson is set to return from suspension to raise all ships in this offense. This week, Peoples-Jones is a strong flex against a Texans secondary that is weaker than people realize because their run defense has been uglier than their pass defense. After that, DPJ gets a Bengals pass defense that hasn’t been the same since losing CB Chidobe Awuzie.

Zay Jones (JAC): 25% rostered

  • Next opponents: @DET, @TEN, DAL
  • True value: $4
  • Desperate need: $7
  • Budget-minded: $2

Analysis: OK, Zay Jones. We see you. Wow, what a Week 12 performance: a 37.8% target share with 14 targets, 11 grabs and 145 receiving yards. Stand up and take a bow, sir. Jones has had his moments this season, but he is poised to continue this hot streak through his next two games. Detroit and Tennessee have allowed the 12th-most and second-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers. Jones is a strong flex in these matchups.

Isaiah McKenzie (BUF): 33% rostered

  • Next opponents: @NE, NYJ, MIA
  • True value: $3
  • Desperate need: $5
  • Budget-minded: $1

Analysis: McKenzie is a player who looked to be on the rise entering Week 11, but he saw his snaps dip again, as they have intermittently this season. But McKenzie played 73% of Buffalo’s offensive snaps in Week 12, drawing a 23.8% target share from Josh Allen with six receptions, 96 receiving yards and a touchdown. McKenzie’s upcoming matchups aren’t amazing, but attacking the Patriots’ and Jets’ inside corners is far more palatable than throwing against their perimeter guys. Being tied to arguably the league’s best quarterback isn’t too bad, either.
