Mojo Market Advice: Buy & Sell (Week 11)

Mojo Market Advice: Buy & Sell (Week 11)

After suggesting that you add Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet to your Mojo portfolio last week, his stock price rose another 5.3% after becoming the first Bear with 2+ touchdown receptions in back-to-back games since Johnny Morris in 1964. Elsewhere, Kadarius Toney (+11.3%) and Christian Watson (+10.3%) were among the players with the biggest jolt to their stock prices, while Sam Ehlinger (-69.3%) and Clyde Edwards-Helaire (-7.3%) went the other way.

We will offer a handful of NFL players each week to buy low on (whether short-term or long-term) or sell high before their prices tumble.

Here is our Week 11 version of who to buy and sell (all prices reflect Mojo’s market)

BUY

David Njoku (CLE – TE) $7.63

Njoku (ankle) has missed Cleveland’s last two games, but reports are that he is nearing a return to the field, possibly even this week. Njoku scored 14+ fantasy points in two of his last three games played. In addition, his 4.9 receptions per game are the most on the team. Despite not playing since Week 7, Njoku still has more fantasy points than fellow tight ends George Kittle, Kyle Pitts, and Dawson Knox. In addition, Njoku is about to get a significant quarterback upgrade when Deshaun Watson is eligible to play in Week 13, so be sure to add the Browns’ tight end to your portfolio before his stock price soars.

Parris Campbell (IND – WR) $3.47

The Colts’ offense has been playing with an increased pace since Week 6. One of the biggest beneficiaries has been Parris Campbell, especially when Matt Ryan is under center. Over the last four weeks, Campbell has been the WR16 in fantasy football. His 20.6 fantasy points against the Raiders was tenth among wide receivers, as he made good use of his nine targets. Going back to Week 6, he has more than a 20% target share. The return of Matt Ryan helps, as Campbell has at least nine targets, a touchdown, and more than 18 fantasy points in each of Ryan’s last three starts.

Christian Kirk (JAX – WR) $15.77

Kirk is coming off a game where he saw 12 targets and already has two games with two or more receiving touchdowns this season (t-2nd for most by a WR in a season in Jaguars history). Kirk’s seven touchdowns are already a career-high, and he should continue to be a red-zone target hog going forward. Kirk’s 31.5 fantasy points against the Chiefs ranked fourth among wide receivers last week. His quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, finished fifth among quarterbacks last week with 21 fantasy points and enjoyed his first game with multiple passing touchdowns since Week 4. The Jaguars are on a bye this week, but be sure to add Kirk soon. His next three games following the bye are against opponents (Ravens, Lions, Titans) that all rank in the top-seven most generous defenses allowing fantasy points to wide receivers.

SELL

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (TEN – WR) $3.24

The Titans wide receiver exploded for 28.9 fantasy points last week against the Broncos, making the most of his eight targets. His 119 yards and two touchdowns were career-highs, but Tennessee is still a run-first team that has gotten little production from its wide receivers all season. Treylon Burks is back, and Robert Woods isn’t going anywhere. Considering Westbrook-Ikhine had just two touchdowns in his previous 17 games, we do not expect him to sustain last week’s solid numbers going forward.
