Waiver Wire Pickups: Running Backs to Stash Ahead of Week 12
Tyler Allgeier (RB – ATL) – 52% Rostered
The Falcons’ offense is running solely through the running game whenever possible, and while Cordarrelle Patterson is going to be heavily involved, it seems to be firmly Allgeier behind him. Over the last four games, Allgeier has had four double-digit PPR games, and if anything happens to Patterson, who is 31 years old, then Allgeier would regain a big role for the rest of the season.
Eno Benjamin (RB – HOU) – 29% Rostered
The Cardinals released Benjamin after James Conner returned to full health, and Benjamin was, in turn, claimed by the Texans through waivers. In recent weeks the Texans have reduced Rex Burkhead‘s playing time and increased how much Dameon Pierce was being used in the passing game, but now they have Benjamin, it’s possible he becomes the pass-catching back in an offense that frequently finds itself trailing games.
Jaylen Warren (RB – PIT) – 27% Rostered
Najee Harris had one of his best games this season in Week 10 but still failed to be involved in the passing game or catch a touchdown. For most of the season, Jaylen Warren has looked more efficient and explosive than Harris. As a result, the Steelers have felt comfortable using Warren in both the run and passing game, with Warren catching 86% of his targets. If the Steelers decide to shut Harris down in this lost season for any reason, Warren would have a three-down workload the rest of the way.
